G'day bayers from across Australia. Just finished watching Geelong v Doggies with the Home side being gifted the game by the green at Spec Savers stadium.

I thought With no duck wood in the side surely Geelong's midfield would struggle for control of the ball and free kicks? But as the game wore on, I saw the midfield functioning better than it has for months. I was astonished when I saw the likes of Josh Caddy going for a hard ball, Bartel only playing for a free kick every 2nd opportunity he had, Mitch Duncan hitting targets and motflop kicking straight! Crazy!

Which leads me to believe that duck wood is in fact detrimental to his club now as the game seems to have gone past him. With the introduction of the ducking rule and the skill required to be an AFL footballer in today's game Geelong would be silly to let him back into the side (Unless they are tanking?)

Please feel free to discuss in the thread and state examples of why you think Geelong are a better side without the quacker
