This, had plenty of chances, didn't take them and Geelong did. Doesn't matter how well you played during the match if by the end you simply couldn't convert your chances and lost because of it.

Yeah . Few players cracking under pressure early on combined with inability to score when we got it inside 50. Still it was a good effort.
At least they didn't win by 5 points or less.

What a stupid stupid thread.....After a great final when both sides wer totally committed and one had passengers you are talking from a blinkered view. Both sides had players who did not have good games but the tenacity shown by all players deserves praise...To say that Geelong had a ton of passengers is away off beam...

Where did your team finish this year? How well did they do defending their premiership?

I will tell you what I was told last year whenever I tried to use the 'poor kicking excuse' - kicking is as much as a part of the AFL as any other skill, and if you miss that many oppurtunities, you can't complain if you lose.

It wasn't a great game on either teams part, but I think our last quarter performance was good and Taylor was fantastic in stopping Riewoldt, which left the Saints without any real options up forward.

You talk about passengers? I believe the Saints had just as many as us. Dawson was pathetic. Saints coaching staff need to look back on the decision to choose him over Hudgton and ask what could have been.
