Josh Hunt has been known to make huge clangers from time to time.

Blake's play around the ground is not good. Certainly not as good as King. In the Richmond practice game he coughed it up right in front of goal. Very Playfairesque.

Ottens is not that mobile. When he is in the forward line if his opponent pushes up the ground he doesn't follow leaving us a man short and allows the opposition to do what they like with the ball. That said, his chase and tackle on the wing in the GF was spectactular!

Byrnes does some stupid things.

Mackie be thy name!! He's also got the bonus of being about 193cm tall, so he can play on those athletic types (ie. Franklin).

I personally don't think the backline has any problems due to the flexible nature of it. It certainly seems that there's a continuing trend here though in Ottens and Mooney being the most important. I agree wholeheartedly that they are the most important and if we lost them we'd be a much weaker team because of it. But let's keep in mind that we need to be 20 goals weaker in order for (anyone???) PORT POWER to beat us :D

Edit for accuracy.:cool::D

I don't recall you beating the Pies by anything close to 20 goals! It wasn't even 20 points.:o

Got to be Ottens - last year in the PF whenever he took a spell Collingwood came back. Blake is ok, but Ottens is a premiership ruckman in every sense of the word.

Without doubt, the best trade we ever made.

Too true there Jim Boy, makes the Tigers look real stupid. Oh wait a minute maybe just stepping out on the park in a pre-season game, kick the opening two goals, smack each other on the backside, high fives all round, to only then let the opposition score 10 unanswered goals.

Now that is stupid. Same team, same stupid idea's.

In my opinion, Geelongs weakest link was their forward line. Although the got the job done, theres still heeps of improving from 07 to do there. I went to every Geelong home game in 07 (cos i just wanted to see a good game of footy, and im a local) and on most occasions, it was the midfielders that did alot the goal kicking. Mooney was consistant and so were the little blokes. Now Nathan's gone, Geelong need do develop someone into a very athletic big man (Hawkins maybe) into someone like a Franklin. As a collingwood fan, i admire Travis Cloke as some one i am talking about. So i think Geelong need someone to fill the actual position 'full forward'.

Anyway, its just my 2 cents.
