This thread is designed for posters who might have a question like 'Where is a good pub to watch the footy this Sunday?' or 'Where is a good place to stay up in Brisbane?'.

In fact you can use this to talk about practically anything you want (as long as its within the rules of the site/board). We're doing this to make it easier for those of you with questions like that and we're also trying to stop the board getting cluttered up with threads that only get 1-2 replies.

If a question in here, that is footy related, starts to dominate the thread we can always move those posts into their own thread to allow that topic to be discussed on its own merits.

Have a few fat yaks pre game at Madtigers bar

If your plus one is a female, The Royal probably isn't your best bet. If it is a female, theres a shit tin of bars on Bridge road/Swan st but that's a little out of your way if your coming from Southbank. Pretty much walk through the city and there is a bazillion places you could go to. For the traditional footy 'experience' it would be The Royal, Cricketers arms, Corner hotel to an extent. Keep it grungy and local

Feed and a beer at London Tavern, Lennox St before the game.
Quick peep at the Royal as you walk past on the way to the G (I think True Thylacine is still there where we left him last year).
Drop into the Tiger Den and then sit anywhere where madtiger isn't.
Also, if you like nice craft beers and chicken parmas, try Mrs Parmas on Little Bourke St after the game.

- what to do prior to the game. get smashed
- where to sit. a seat
- where madtiger sits. a stand
- what to do after game. get smashed

:cool::thumbsu:

cheers lads. it is a female plus 1, she will just have to deal with corner hotel i think. i want an authentic tiger experience, i like tuggas idea to.

where is your bar mad tiger?? fat yak is a matilda bay brew (perth based). are trousers optional or compulsory in there?

Trousers compulsary for men, no trousers or skirts for woman :D

This is the Richmond experience.
London Tavern for a meal then either the Cricketers or Royal.
I prefer the Cricketers Arms.
Nice open courtyard out the back.

Or maybe Royal pregame,Cricketers post game.

I usually end up at China town and an asian meal before stumbling to a night rider.

LOL.

I love going to all my band haunts before going home and looking for a band to watch.
Finishes the night beautifully.:D

You could hang out on the Pony Fish cafe bar in the middle of the Yarra River and drink warm mulled wine while hugging the better half.

Pony Little Collins has the best Melbourne doom band playing for free at 1.30 am.

Few threads on Dusty on main board this week. Maybe we should just enjoy how good he is here and leave the ****heads from other clubs out of it.

Just another thing, **** WA people are so bias toward WA players it does my head in.

WA players don't get anywhere near as much media hype than Victorians so it evens out.
