Just had some IT questions, cheers.

1. Can Windows XP be used as a server operating system?
2. What is a patch in computer terms and what would you do with it?
3. Does a network terminal that does not have a hard disk use an operating system?
4. Should a small organisation that is short one PC allow trusted staff to use a server as a workstation?
5. Can a server act as two or more servers at the same time, for example can an authentication server also act as a proxy server and a file server?
6. What is Multitasking in terms of operating systems, give an example?
7. Do you need to have a printer directly connected to a PC or server by its data cable (USB or parallel cable) to be able to be able to print to it from any computer in a network? Give reasons.
8. What is the most important feature of a server OS? Explain your choice?
9. What is the single most important function/role of a server operating system?
10. Name the devices/programs that are responsible for security for a web server.
11. What are some of the differences between a server operating system and a workstation operating system?
 
No offence, but if you're studying IT and you don't know the answer to those questions...ooh boy...

3. Does a network terminal that does not have a hard disk use an operating system? yes
4. Should a small organisation that is short one PC allow trusted staff to use a server as a workstation? no
5. Can a server act as two or more servers at the same time, for example can an authentication server also act as a proxy server and a file server? why not, some of those would be better split but ymmv
6. What is Multitasking in terms of operating systems, give an example? can run more than one process at a time, find your own example
7. Do you need to have a printer directly connected to a PC or server by its data cable (USB or parallel cable) to be able to be able to print to it from any computer in a network? Give reasons. no, because you don't have to
8. What is the most important feature of a server OS? Explain your choice? stabilty, duh

seriously, if you dont know some of these, you dont deserve to pass whatever course you're taking. also google will no doubt be able to answer the majority of these
