Graham Arnold with the gutsiest management/coaching decision in the history of Australian sports.

Way to go Redmayne

You bloody beauties Socceroos.

We'll need our own Socceroos world cup thread. It's not safe out there.

This genuinely makes me cry tears of joy.

Aron got hurt in Tokyo at the Olympics and ended up in the same ward I was in when I was in hospital. I remember the hours upon hours of physio that he put in just to learn to walk again.

Quite a few of the guys/gals knew who he was. Not a single time did he ask for or get special treatment - the guy is a millionaire so easily could have. He offered motivation and support to other patients. Was always up for a chat when he wasn't with pros or family.

Even if no team picks him up to know that he's made it all the way back to basketball is genuinely movie type stuff.

Just so happy for him

JustaBattler I don't know s**t about it but this origin game might be the best league game I've ever seen...........
can't comment as I am not watching it...:thumbsu:
booooooiring -

and anyway

been there done that.

Far out..what a finish to the Origin series! I remember only small parts of State of Origin in the AFL from when I was a kid, but watching the NRL do it so well every year makes me wish it got brought back. It's great to watch and such a good contest with the best of best going at it.

In saying that, especially with our run of injuries, I'd hate to lose one of our boys for an extended period of time due to an injury in an Origin game

comparing state of origin afl to that amazing game tonight - apples and lozenges - just let the nrl do it, they do it so well and the spectacle includes the best players - by the time our limp version wound up clubs had almost run out of excuses for not letting their players participate........

With the recent tragic passing of Neil Kerley the absolute epic contest that was tonight's Origin decider for the NRL really made me reminisce and miss the lack of Origin in AFL.

Phenomenal game, high intensity, and lots of bravado from both squads. As quality an NRL game as you'll ever see.

Great to see The Open at the home of golf for the 150th. I've never played it but have walked around it watching the women practice for their Open several years ago. For a golf tragic there seemed to be ghosts everywhere.

Also great to see Cam Smith, once again, in the mix in a major. Has been underrated most of his career but is one helluva player...go Cam.

But, what is it with the clothes some of these guys get away with. Never thought the R&A would ever sanction hoodies and track pants for pro golfers. Just a sh*t look and appalling for traditionalists. At very few courses in Sydney would you be allowed to play competition golf dressed like that.
