The guy seems like a decent footy writer, even been on the North radio show a couple of times, but gee (sorry Denis) wouldn't it be nice to see him stick up for the Roos in the press a little bit. You really wouldn't even know he follows North.
Connolly is always shooting his load over Esserden (don't think the poor bugger will ever get over '99 "we all know Essendon were clearly the best team from 99-01" hmm...), Mark Robinson knocks up writing feel good stories about the bombers and Carro has her articles on how good Danny Frawley has been for Richmond (she's going to look really stupid around this time next year...Richmond 2-10...press conference called....by mutual consent etc etc...).
I'm not saying be over the top Geoff, but you could at least pick us in your footy tips once in while.
As for Damien Barrett........this guy loves knifing us almost as much as Carro.....I can't believe he is a paid up member.

Or maybe they're trying to be professional,objective journos unlike the others you mention. I sent an email to Barrett after some article in which he was being critical of North and said something like "I find it hard to believe you're a Roos supporter" and he replied indignantly saying he was a Pagan's patron and had been a member "for many years" but that didn't mean that the Roos were above criticism from him. I've heard that Poulter always picks against the Roos as some kind of weird superstition and often bets against them so that one way or the other he'll be happy with the result. Strange but true.

The prospect of Journo's winning awards in thier 'Media Brownlow'
is what they crave.......they may report hard cold facts at times that just shows how cold hearted you need to be to get some 'award' in thier 'ego-media awards'
