"While everyones talking about the attack in Paris no one talks about the ISIS attack that happened yesterday in Lebanon why doesn't the media report that...R.I"

No more interviews for AJ for the next 12mnths.Goes against USA media policy to suggest biased reporting or suggestion of hidden agendas supported by the USA Govt.;)

Don't shoot the messenger brother.

You were the one defending him, saying we were misinterpreting what his intent was. So far you are saying his intent is exactly what we accused it of being

Regardless of your faith, political views or gender you have to rate a person by their actions and in my opinion Bachar is top 3 character people at the club a role model and a very generous person
If someone was to imply he was a terrorist I would not hesitate in defending him

Selam alaycum....Kardash :)
Is that short for Kardashian?
Mate your first post was poorly worded and open to interpretation, Let's just take a chill pill and I suggest deleting everything on this thread since yesterday. None is footy related, apart from TI telling us he's not a fan of Houli, nothing we wouldn't have guessed...

In that case I don't see why someone that highlights intolerance is being criticised.

Not only the AFL but the world would be a lot better and safer place if there were more people like Bachar Houli, I have met and spoken to him on many occasions and you wouldn't find a more honest and caring person willing to help others.

1 particular time i remember him going into a cafe in the city and waiting 5-6 mins in line to purchase food only to take it outside to give it to a homeless beggar on bourke st, Its not that he gave the begger food but the fact that he went out of his way and waited inline to purchase the food only to give it to this person whilst his wife and a couple of other of his friends waited for him.

Bachar is an A grade citizen and person, We as a football club are very lucky to have a person of his character as a role model for our youngsters - Dustin Martin always speaks very highly of Bachar and looks to him constantly for advise also

He is mentoring Castagna also. He is a good leader at the club amongst the playing group.

You didn't answer the question

How did you interpret his initial post saying he hoped bacher wasn't connected to the terrorist attacks?

I'm fairly sure I used the term associated. My hope was that others would not judge Bachar badly through his beliefs & tar him with the same brush . That is, "guilt by association" with Islam. Nothing more. I was never trying to suggest he was associated with Isis.

What earth does that mean?

If he's a Muslim he's associated with terrorism ?

Unfortunately some may draw the long bow & it's that potential connection that I was fearful that some may make. Nothing more. The 10 sec "news grab" . People/ society seem to lead such busy lives. That those who take the time to look into events /news. Seem to be the exception. Most people on here don't jump to conclusions & are not quick to judge, but I would suggest that most on this forum are the exceptions (generally speaking). They (thankfully) take the time to look at things a little more closely & don't make Snap judgements.

The first part means "peace be with you", the second means "brother"....

As usual it's all my fault :p

I agree , seems all posts to some degree are open to interpretation. Perhaps your right, I may well have been able to post leaving less room for negative interpretation. But as I've said . Those having much idea of my posting history may not have been as quick to condemn perhaps? Once again apologies to those who may have been caused any anguish by my initial post. That was never my intent.....

He's not highlighting it, he's advocating it by saying Houli is suspect of supporting terrorism just off his faith

I have a very high regard for your posting @rfctiger . But in this instance your interpretation of my comments could not be further from my intent...

I just hope that Bachar is not remotely associated with anything to do with recent events....

You are saying you are hoping Bachar isn't connected with terrorism

You are not saying people, bigots, others. You said "I"

Also you didn't talk about perceptions or connections, you said him being associated wth isis

Not really about religion to be honest, Its all about what the agenda is and what you are trying to achieve

If i was to tell you that certain people are funding others to create unrest in area's so to keep the unrest going and weapon sales ticking along whilst at the same time getting paid to 'protect' interests in that area - That is all about the $$$$ and Power and nothing to do with religion.

Look at the bigger picture,Its about finance and establishing a presence in an area they dont have a right to be in.
Don't agree with the bolded completely but do agree that the west is a huge reason why terrorism exists in western countries. Sometimes you just have to let others sort out their own shit. That's why it's called a civil war.

It's as if Lebenese lives are worth less than those whom live in the west. Truly awful.

The point im trying to make is that if it was a case of Religion then why do ISIS attack islamic countries and kill 1000's of muslims across the world.

Turkey & Lebanon have been bombed and hundreds of muslim people have been killed bt these terrorists

Because the ones they attack have a more moderate/western vision of Islam which they detest as a guess at best. They believe in a version of Islam which is more extreme for a myriad of or one reason. Who knows? Why have protestants and Catholics been killing each other for so long? They're both Christian. I know you will respond with the need to control or have power/money etc but it all starts with beliefs that any rational man/woman should see are fanciful at best and should be reserved for the fantasy section of the bookshop.

Unfortunately for those of us who love to travel and experience different cultures the middle east could well be off limits for the rest of my life.

What I was trying to say & intended (perhaps poorly) , was my hope that others would not associate him with those committing atrocities in the name of their religion. Others seemed to understand my statement in that light but it seems you didn't ?

Perhaps you can see past my faulty posting to my intent which I have done my best to outline a number of times? Let's put this to rest? How about it?

Just shut the **** up and bring this to the Corner instead.

If it's not Representitive of your views, delete it (as others have said, everything from your post on should be deleted)

Respect your view and its good to have different opinions but 1 thing that many seem to miss is that

These extremist are being funded by organisations and governments with agenda's and its extremely well known all the 'sponsorship' of saddam hussein and usama bin laden recieved from the US and its allies prior to them being made scape goats

CIA,MOSAT,KGB (what ever is the current version of it) and the likes have alot to answer for and you must ask yourselfs - Who is supplying these weapons and technology to these terrorist and what is their Agenda.

America needs to have an enemy that wont go away to continue their ARMS manufacturing and their support from their people to continue its games.

As i mentioned before their are terrorists attacks that are going on and have been for a number of years in places like palestine,Turkey,Lebanon,Syria,Iraq that we never hear about but when its on australian media we hear about this - Its happening every day.

Nothing is as it seems to the eye and with every attack there are people making money,Its not about religion - Its about money and power

I apologise for opening up a can of worms on the subject. Of course, my first thought was not about Bachar, but of the victims.

However, I only see anti-muslim sentiment getting worse from now, and there certainly will be more attacks to come. No doubt that this will breed more hate along with it. We need to stand behind Bachar as an exemplary member of the Australian Islamic community.
