Essendon must be agressive traders so we can give Hirdy and Fletch a good crack at the finals. I reckon we should use a three-way deal involving our pick number 7 to get Power. Just imagine Power delivering lace out to Lloydy

I just think we just have to stack up our midfield and Power's the silky consistent player we need. We dont need a centre half back. Theres not really any quality centre half backs going around. Trent Croad AA (joke) just sums it up. We dont need a Polak, we have better options in Bradley(another summer in the gym), Richards, Lucas (i reckon he should be there), Soloman (proven he can play there if needed), McPhee (if needed) and Ive heard good things about this Lee bloke, but we'll wait and see

Rather Bartel than Power but i think we somehow should try and keep our first round pick and try to snare Power or Bartel.

If Neagle is the real deal, well then we have a first rounder anyway, if hes not its still worth getting Power, the guy is ultimate class.

Power would be genuine asset to Essendon playing in the midfield alongside the Johnsons, Stants and Pev he would give us a real touch of class. Hed definately be woth a top 10 pick.

L. Power and S.Power for picks 7 & 23 + Bolton, id do that, especially in a supposed weak draft, and definately to get rid of Bolton.

Someone said there wasn't something right to feel about giving pick 7 to Brisbane, I say it would feel very sweet to see Lukey Power carve them up next year in the Red and Black

I know McVeigh and 23 is not the best trade from a Brisbane point of view, but it's a hell of a lot better than if Power goes to the PSD which there is plenty of talk of happening

We'd be better off short term no doubt but Stants is going to be something special in a few years when Power is slowing down.

I'm not even sure we'd be better off in the short-term. You don't trade 19 year old, hard running midfielders who get nearly 20 touches a game regularly in a poor midfield. Stanton is the most promising midfield prospect we've had since drafting Rama in 99, and that's a bloody long time between drinks.

Power would be an awesome get, so would Bartel, and i'd give away pick 7 and some quality to get one of them, but not Stanton - untouchable.
