Has Pendles gone past Gary Ablett as the No.1 player in SuperCoach? His average last year was a smidgen lower than Gaz (127 to Ablett's 129) and while he may not produce as many of the eye-popping 170+ scores Ablett is capable of, he makes up for it in reliability. In the past three seasons Pendlebury has dropped below 100 points in a game only six times (compared to Ablett's 11) and failed to achieve 20 disposals in only one full game. He's a pretty damn good player too, with his nearly all his possessions effective and more of them leading to scores than just about any player - two stats rewarded handsomely in the SuperCoach scoring system. His averages since 2011 read 129, 125, 127. Pick him, make him captain and move on to your next selection.

i personally think pendles is a better player than ablett in real life and the supercoach world.
he is equal or greater than ablett in almost everything other than goals scored.

Ablett is still supercoach king in my eyes but Pendles is very close. As the article says Pendles is more consistent but Ablett has super monster games every now and then

Ablett may go forward more like Swan though.. it's wise to make Pendles the captain in his prime

Your right he might, but I read an article not that long ago where Mckenna said something along the lines of Ablett mostly still playing in the middle. Pendles is my captain most weeks anyway for sentimental reasons
