Went to Preston on Saturday to check out potential Collingwood players. The elite Victorian under 18's were out there including Sam Carpenter and his one arm! I'd heard of him but had never seen him play. I thought he would struggle or look out of place but he did not. He kicked a goal and almost took mark of the day, plus numerous possessions. But what really stood out was his hardness, desperation, and tackling all with one arm. All these attributes were sadly lacking by our able bodied players against Freo. We will continue to struggle without our best players injured, but you can still do the basics like tackling, chasing and putting your head over the ball. Having Sammy at training will only reinforce that point, He's an inspiration, we need some!!

Players without limbs and body parts are welcome at Collingwood

We already have players witn no brain (Woey) , no heart (Williams) , no feet (Tarrant), no hands (Cole), no hair (Fraser) no ankle (Rocca) and no idea (the whole bloody lot of them)
