but good on you *PAF for having the guts to put up long after the others have shut up......we love you on the Adelaide Board and respect your objectivity even though we know you love your club.

HAHHAHAHA SO FUNNY, was one of the best Gf's since 98. Loved every minute of it. Port won't be gloating, or have no right to gloat for at least 12 months. BAHAHHAHAHAH LOVED IT!!!

I do think Warren was a bit ungracious in his speach, or maybe I was reading too much into it

But I suppose I wouldn't feel like talking after what had just transpired.

Warren Tredrea should have a good look in the mirror. He has become a big-headed buffoon whose mouth cannot match his ability.

His speech today was piss-poor and a continuation of other piss-poor non-gracious comments and speeches by Tredrea.

He should have taken his lead from his coach, who went and personally congratulated the Geelong palyers on the ground.

Well done by Choco and loser of the week award to Tredrea.

I think it was understandable! He just got belted by a record margin in a GF. The last thing he would havw wanted was to be on that stage. He couldn't wait to get off it.

Now, I am someone who just love to give choko a lot of stick. He talked the talk during the week but now looks stupid with it. Pretty embarassing.

However, I saw something from Choko today that I think deserves respect. Despite getting belted and despite all the trash talk during the week he still had class to go out and shake hands and congratulate every player, coaches, administrators and other staff from the Geelong Football Club. For a bloke who lacks class at times, he showed plenty of it today and I congratulate him on that. Well done :thumbsu:

You expect a bit more form you captain though I think.

But yeah I can understand it must have hurt.

Over the years I've seen some really good speeches by losing captains, but none had lost by that margin.

It may be slightly cynical but i think part of Williams post-game actions was trying to 'save face' a little. Ridiculously poor judgement in sledging during the week and if he hadn't shown any graciousness in defeat he would be berated even more than he will be.

While *PAF might be gracious in defeat you can be sure that 90% of other Port supporters will return in 08 with selective amnesia. Does not matter how many bad performances they have, or how bad their recent showdown record is, everytime we play them all i hear from their supporters is unfounded arrogance based on a suppossedly strong tradition and how they will smash us:rolleyes:. It's amazing how they remember Magpie premierships and Showdowns from years ago but forget any matches like today.

You mean how he went around to the Geelong players and congratulated them? I couldn’t agree more. Your side has just lost by 119 points, get away from the winning team. It was an act purely to save face, and really he shouldn’t have been near the Cats players. Let them celebrate, they don’t need the opposition coach who’s all of a sudden looking like a tool because of all his comments shaking their hands.

And yes *PAF and Macca19 and so on are good blokes, but I couldn’t give a stuff about being humble today. Sucked in Power, 119 points how’d you like that? Oh what a marvelous day! :D

That's exactly what i meant. While Tredrea's speech was somewhat ungracious (perhaps not as bad as Hird in 01) and 'typically port' at least it was authentic and consistent with his usual behaviour
