It would be nothing short of a disaster if we win this week.

Can't see us getting anywhere near them, but we have had a knack of bouncing back after big losses in recent times so i just hope the Roos are on their game.

An honorable loss is the best case scenario this week, i couldn't give a stuff about the spoon if we get picks 1 and 4 for it, plus first shot in UPD.

We won't beat the Roos, but whatever happens - happens.

It would feel special in its own right to give the spoon to Collingwood/Hawthorn but this picks do look mighty attractive.

Finally, you've been won over....... Next we'll work on Thrawn.

This is going to be the first melbourne-based Carlton game I will not be attending this year. I just can't find one good reason to go! Very sad really.
Will be praying that we have an honourable loss. The system needs to be changed so supporters don't have to feel like this. :(

Yeh, I agree. It's stupid when your side is bottom but you don't want to win to get them away from the spoon.

its wierd...im going to the game knowin we have no bloody chance...but why win anyway...like we're all gonna reflect next yr about the last game of this season...its all been said before...lose, pick 1& 4 and 1st pick in PSD...we need to...

I think the AFL really should introduce the NBA drafting system. No priority picks and the bottom eight sides raffle their draft order, with 16 obviously having a higher chance ratio than 9th for the number one pick, but still avoiding certanties.

How can it be good for the competition to see supporters of such a proud club hope for a loss because of the way the competition off-season is structured?

If we win, we win. The picks would be handy, and I am warming to the PSD #1 pick because of all the contract negotiations on hold around the place but I will never actively barrack for a loss. I can't watch a game hoping we miss a mark, not chase, miss a goal etc. Goes against all basic instincts.

Same here, I might go a play some golf whilst listening to the radio.

That's my attitude as well.
