- Blake Caracella (0.1, 4); Shane Wakelin (0.0, 5); Ben Davies (0.1, 1); Guy Richards (0.1, 5); Cameron Cloke (0.0, 1); Jason Cloke (0.0, 2); Simon Prestigiacomo (0.0, 7); Harry O'Brien (0.0, 6) are our players who have played a game and not kicked a goal.

We have had 20 goalkickers out of our 28 players used, therefore, 8 players used haven't scored a goal. We are 9th overall in the percentage of players used to score a goal, in the AFL. 71.4% of players have kicked a goal this year for Collingwood. West Coast leads the AFL with an outstanding number of 92.3% kicking a goal.
Collingwood however shows that on average, our 20 goalkickers average 7.2 goals after round 9 in 2006. That is #1 in the AFL, with our opponents tonight, the Western Bulldogs at #2 kicking 6.6 goals this season per goalkicker.

interesting to note the players used by each team!!
even tho the pies haven't really had many injuries we have still used 28 players, compare that to some sides like the doggies who have had plenty of injuries yet only used 27 players!!
pies now have plenty of depth!!

Presti > Wakelin IMHO. Presti is in AA form, and he deserves to get the nod on form rather than balance IMO. He is more valuable at this present time, and there will be a big forward to play on.
Collingwood has made many late changes this season. I am guessing more than any other team this season in fact.

28 players used is pretty decent.
Presti has been in decent touch besides the WCE game.
But i think its more about matchups height wise then going on current form.

Ofcourse your right their Ekulman, but it would annoy morale on a player like Presti when he gets better and then gets dropped. Wakelin has had an in and out season aswell, but I think out of those two, the latter should be given the slip for Rhyce before Presti.
Either way, it is all for balance, but with Skipper back in, I think Presti is worth staying in. For sure one of them will be out tonight though. It seems a trend.

Stuff starting a new thread.
Blake Caracella is one of those players this year that hasn't kicked a goal this season, despite him being a very very dangerous forward this time round last season, and finishing with 30 odd last season to fall short of the Collingwood Leading Goalkicker trophy.
He has fitted well as a loose man across half back this year, and in his seasons first game, against the Hawks, he accumilated 30 touches from memory and several uncontested marks. He seems a go to man who is been limited as a forward to go back and play the role Chad Morrison was so good at, at West Coast, before he had two consecutive knee reco's and never fully recovered form and value. Caracella was in and out, however, last week, he showed true value. He showed he has a great football brain and knows which hole to fill. His field kicking is precise. And what impressed me most, was, he is known for more of that outside player, but he slid into contests and fought for the hard ball, and he doesn't need to do that. It says to me, this star player, who is a dual premiership player and played almost 200 career games at the top level, is actually fighting for a spot, and he truly knows it. Good on him.
