Goddard half-time hit on Conca?

Have not seen this discussed anywhere...

Just watching a replay and just on half-time is there something that the match review panel should look at?

Conca has his kick in the back pocket smotherd but re-gathers and is tackled by a Saints player as the half-time siren goes... the tackling player still has hold of Conca around the middle and a second or two after the siren Goddard who is coming the other way makes contact with Reece's head/face.

Clearly shakes him up a bit... stupid maggot can be heard saying they 'ran into each other' but Conca was being held/tackled so did not 'run into' anyone and in fact if the contact had of occurred during play would certainly have been a free to Conca for high contact.

I guess it depends on if Goddard could have pulled out of the way of the contest but it certainly looks a bit late to me.

Oh hang on... scratch that... it was a Saints player instead of a Tiger so there will be nothing in it I'm sure.

Nothing will happen about it, it was pretty late and Goddard did knock him pretty hard.

All would have been fine if Goddard grabbed him and pulled him up afterwards, highly unlikely that would have happened.

Was contact that should have been a free kick for high contact but not hard enough of a hit for a suspension imho.

Umps are keen on Goddard for the Brownlow so he won't get cited at all this year.

There was nothing in it. It appeared the Goddard did try to pull up before bumping. Thank god he did, else Conca would have been seeing stars and there would most likely been a melee would have occurred.

McGuanes bump on the whippet looked far worse trhan the actual contact was.

Skinny little freckle puncher totally staged and now,unfortunately McGuane will go for 3-4 weeks.

I propose in light of being robbed via the Morton and under pressure decisions,we call it even....

There is a problem if the siren had gone. The commentator who said they "ran into each other" lol..

If it wasn't Goddard who is pretty well respected around the AFL then Richmond players would have made more of it. As it was I think it looked worse than it was. As did McGuanes bump but that wont save him.
