Ah yes, right near Baker Street Station and Madame Tussaud's, on Marlybone. Good to see you had a look around timmy :thumbsu: It's a great city!

click onto the photo of the lion (top right hand side) its an "emag" it tells you whats on and where to find a decent place for a night out.

only for a week geez .........jetlag!!!!

thought of that song when i was there.

I know what you mean, Timmy.

When I was in Liverpool I stayed on Penny Lane and I couldn't get "I Am The Walrus" out of my head the whole time.

(Okay, admittedly I was doing a lot of drugs while I was there.)

I was thinking of another song...

Lived in London for a year way back in my misguided youth. HAD A BLAST!!!! and one of the best bits, THE ROOS WON THE GF that year. I couldn't be there but it was one great celebration at the pub where I worked.

I love London. LOVE IT I tells ya!

Agreed, something about London that makes me feel attached to it. Could easily live there and love it, but I could just about do that with most of the UK, which I plan on doing later next year (especially Liverpool, which, including Penny Lane, has massive Beatles interest to me as well as a small fascination with the Liverpool Football Club and Anfield).

I'm going there for The Pogues at the Brixton Academy gig in a few weeks.

Its still a shit hole.

New York and Paris own it so much.

Haven't been to NYC, but Paris would be my favourite city I've been to; ridiculously intriguing city, but I just can't hate on London. I've only explored the SW and City Centre, and haven't experienced the apparent 'charming' areas such as the east side, so I probably still have that honeymoon view of the city.

Yeah, have heard that drinking is their favourite past time, so definitely plan on experiencing that side of things.
