Agree with both of your points.

The career mode looks promising.

I got TG2 and enjoyed it despite it being a pain in the arse with career mode always having to build your own season with real courses and some original ones.

I love the fact they've got the PGA Tour license, it means EA are finally done with making arcade like game modes.

I guess that pretty much confirms they want to go down the micro transaction path with courses, apparel etc..etc.. in the future.

so what do you's think of the game so far?

been watching quite a few videos from apexhound and early1981 and visually it looks a lot better, but some issues are still there with some insane roll outs with the short clubs as it looks like it's near impossible to create any spin.

putting and chipping do look a lot better though.

Yeah i'm enjoying it so far. The swing mechanics are really good and once you move on from the beginner clubs you really have to concentrate on your swing or you can pull or shank your shots.

The roll out is the only issue, with wedges still rolling out like 10 feet. If you use the Pro or master clubs it doesn't roll out as much but still too much roll out.

Other than that its a pretty solid game. Just need to find some good societies now to find daily tourney's to play.

The Casuals Golf Club society was pretty good in TGC2, very well run, and very competitive and a rewarding challenge if you do well.

Anyone still playing this. I found a really cool site that runs tournaments every week with world rankings. It really gives you purpose to play, makes it way more fun.
