Good
Sloane. Quiet first three quarters but absolutley huge in the last quarter with some huge smothers, tackles and marks. Does all the one %s. He is a genuine star
Danger - Kept us in it early and put in all day. Looks close to back to his best
Jenkins - Huge. His last three weeks have been sensational and his contested marking was superb. Only issue is his goal kicking.
Lynch - How good is it to have this bloke back! Runs all day and was huge today.
Pods - After a slow start to the year his last month has been great
Hartigan - Terrible start but regained his composure well.

Bad
Jaensch - First bad game for the year but his defending in the last quarter was diabolical. Hopefully regains his form against the hapless dees next week.
Jacobs - Wasn't terrible but virtually invisible around the ground in stark contrast to recent weeks.

Ugly
Reilly - Get rid of the gold pass Sando he must go.
Pets - Invisible all day virtually.

Good:

Lynch. Very good game and fantastic to have him back.
Danger. One shank and a couple of poor decisions going forward makes for not his best game. But he did some absolutely outstanding contested work. Can just rely on him when he is near the ball to win it. Made some tough tackles as well.
Pods. Very good but he had very little opposition.
Kerridge. Great job on Griffen. Very good tagger and good tackler. Will hopefully learn to find more of the ball himself, while he is tagging.
Laird. Almost best game for the club. Good in close and found a lot of outside ball. Used it very well.
Smith. Kicking a little off but was reliable as a defender for the most part and still provided some run and carry.
Jenkins. Fix your goal kicking mate. Strong marks though and presents well.
Hartigan. Made some blues early but came back very well. Did some fantastic plays under pressure.

Bad:

Goal kicking
Tackling. Lots of arms just being burst through.
Sloane in the first 3 quarters. Needs to become a 4 quarter player because we know how good he can be in a short space of time (see last quarter).
Jaensch
Petrenko
Betts couldn't get near it. Still creative when he found the ball though.
Brown was poor imo. Poor defensively and by foot and hand.
Talia made some stupid errors by foot.
Reilly was good and bad.

Good

Laird - crap first half. Immense third quarter. Really lifted when he pinch hit in the midfield and was also instrumental in a ton of good link up play. He's always been 'good' in the reliable sense but I thought this was his best standalone game.
Jenkins - similar in that he started slowly and then really exploded after half time.
Pods - looks like the return of Tex shot a rocket up both of them. Hauled in some very good contested marks.
Danger - God.
Wright - One of very few good players early. Some very good work in stoppages that was reminiscent of 2012 Wright.
Liam Jones - This guy was an extra player for us. Very instrumental in shifting momentum our way. Also showed some great evasive skills in order to dodge the red vest.
Lynch - almost forgot about him which shows what an idiot I am. Outstanding game. Maybe BOG. Lots of important touches everywhere, good marks, couple of goals. How good was that play where he trapped the incoming bouncing ball then on hands and knees immediately handballed to the running Jenkins? Felt like that one turned the game our way.

Bad

We probably should have lost the game. Bulldogs had all the run of the play in the last 7 or so minutes and continually choked.
Our midfield is really, really shaky. Just for periods of the game they're uncompetitive. Along with our losses, we saw this early against Saints, GWS and here today. And near the end when Danger was hobbled out of the game, it was scary. A half decent team could have walked it out and kicked 5 goals in a row easily.
Smith looks a little off. Just a bit too sloppy with disposal. Also butchered what should have been a good running goal in the third. Needs to get closer to his Saints form.
Grigg had one of those games where nothing went right. Could find himself out of the team again knowing our treatment of green vesters.
Pets is not a good footballer. There should be a rule against posting Petrenko puff threads after he kicks a goal or two and looks half decent against spoon contenders.

Ugly

That moment where Smith evaded two tacklers then handballed to the free Reilly... who promptly kicked it a mile out on the full.

I didn't see this game. I'm not in oz but judging by this thread we were shit!

Sorry can't believe the negative posting, sometimes you need to step back and understand that the really good teams just do what has to be done. It's early after the game and I still have a lot of catching up but looks like we took the 4 points..........good enough for me!
