As a non Saints supporter I thought I would try and give a non bias view of this trade.
Personally I think it is great for the Saints.
1. They get two more picks and at 8 they will get a very good player. This will only help their already good looking future.
2. They get cap relief that they can spend on players who deserve it.
3. They (together with Beetham) git rid of a negative influence around the club. This is probably the most important point of all.
The Saints are trying to build a great future for the club. The young kids coming through need the right influences. Getting rid of bad apples can change the whole environment.
I think this trade sends all the right messages and has the short and long term future of the club at heart.
