A sincere message from a hated Collingwood fan.

I sincerely hope that Carlton have a full and speedy recovery from their current financial plight.
It pains me to see an old rival and great club down in the gutter begging for scraps from a competition which they helped create into the best in the country and then the only viable competition that could go national.
As much as I enjoy thinking that several Carlton people like Big Jack and Collo might be suffering right now, in no way do i hope same for it's many passionate supporters which have enjoyed a healthy rivalry for over 100 years with my mob.
It's all fun and games to give you guys absolute s**t over your on field performances (although I would much rather Collingwood beat a strong Carlton outfit than the current rabble),but this is no laughing matter.
Keep your heads up guys and remember that one bad period within your clubs envied history 'aint nothing to be ashamed of.
Carlton of old will be back, although it does look bleak atm, making it so much sweeter when we beat you in front of a packed M.C.G.

G.O.B - Appreciate the words mate. That is the very reason i was one of those who donated to the "Save our Skins" drive that the Tigers had, and donated my hard earned to the bulldogs when they were rattling tins. Great post and i am sure it will be well received on this board :thumbsu:

Even though we like to pay out on you it's all in the name of sporting rivalry but this situation you're in is not good and at the RFC we know what it feels like.

Hopefully you can get your act together because I'd rather be playing Carlton at the G than some of these interstate, franchise clubs with their johnny-come-lately supporters.

I hear you mate. Hopefully in the not to distant future we can see the tig's, blues, pies, dons etc back to their best, at the same time. We stick through the good and bad times mate, and that's what makes our clubs what they are today.
