Just like to say good luck to Carlton & Lachie Henderson next year & for the future.

There are a lot of people hurting at both Carlton & Brisbane over this trade. There is also a lot people happy with the trade as well.

I can understand the emotional ties that you would have with Fev over a number of years. He was your hero. Paul Roos & Richard Osborne were my heroes & I was devastated when they left Fitzroy.

I would have been shattered to lose Bradshaw this week as well.

Whether this was a good deal & who came out on top will be debated for a long time. I think it was a deal where both clubs came out with some value. Some clubs would not have been as keen to strike a fair deal. Kudos to the Lions & the Blues.

It's a bid sad to lose an up & coming player in Henderson. However you have to give quality to get quality.

Well now for the future. Good luck again to Lachie & Brendan at their respective clubs. I'll be following Lachie's future with the Blues.

Outstanding OP and an expression of gentility that is rare and sorely missed on the shit-hole that BigFooty often becomes.

Both groups of supporters should try not get wrapped up in the emotion of what the players we have lost were/could have been for our respective clubs.

What is done is done and only the best should be hoped for Brisbane and Fev- and Carlton and Henderson.

You're a gentleman Loyal Lion and a supporter for the betterment of the code as well as the Brisbane Football Club.

Great post, Loyal Lion

And best of luck with Fev, also. I'm currently in mixed emotions mode, I don't think the club could've done anything different than what they did in trading him, he placed the club in a really difficult position, but it's just sad to see a player who was a great light for Carlton during our worst decade. It would've been great to see Fev play in a Carlton Premiership.

While it would be hard to see Fev play in another team's colours, I'm happy it's Brisbane and hopefully Fev will sort out his issues (really, he just shouldn't drink alcohol) and become one of your very best players

I genuinely believe this will be a win-win trade in the long term. Fev could well push the Lions all the way to a premiership in the near future, and I feel Hendo could be a 10 year Blue, and that's gonna include AT LEAST #17.

If I could talk to Fev I'd say "good interview today, mate, and good luck". He knows Carlton had to make the call they made, but I hope he makes the most of his opportunity at the Lions.

Henderson is the new great white hope at the Blues, and that's bloody exciting.

SO so so good to hear. I really like Brisbane and am incredibly happy to have Lachie apart of our team. It's so hard to say goodbye but it's time. I can't wait for 2010, will be watching both teams with great intent.

don't forget when we had Wayne Britten as Coach he was going to get rid Of Brendan Fevola so thanks to Denis Pagen for keeping him so how lucky we had him for 10 odd years thats a long time at one club
i might get a lions membership and go and watch him when Brissy makes the finals still support Carlton and follow fev when brissy plays against other clubs

it is actually pretty much the victorian forward line against the dream team last year i just noticed. terrible to see lachie leave the club but all the best for his future, and hopefully he has some success with you guys, will certainly be following his career and the blues.

Yes, good post. Stressful week for both Clubs and supporters. It's done. We're all not going to 100% agree with the decision made, but that's the reality. I'm glad the result didn't end up as unbalanced as it could have been though. :)

Ye thanks lions fans, appreciate the wishes, i really hope nothing too serious is made of this fev matter cos I want him to continue to have a good career for the Lions, I still reckon he has 3-4 good years providing he behaves right and I'm sure Browny and Vossy will keep him line, prob better than we ever did, Ive always respected ya's as a club, in saying that Im really excited to have Hendo at the Blues, its tough breaking into a forward line that has Brown and Bradshaw but I assure you he will be playing forward next year + beyond, good luck

Along with the other Lions fans here, I wish Henderson and the Blues all the best in the future. Henderson will be a 10+ year player and will help in defence and attack, picked up a beauty there. Really hope the Lions can support Fevola during his career at the Lions, I think getting away from his friends and Melbourne will help in this. Needed a fresh start - no Crown to go to and he will be less noticed in public (media). Good luck for 2010 and beyond - would be great to meet you in the finals - this years game was a cracker.

Most of the BL posters have been fantastic I must say; quite the difference from the Tiger/Magpie spuds that frequent our board.

We all love Fev and hope you sort him out, it will be a challenge. LH looks the goods longer -term, and his apprenticeship with BL can only be an advantage.
