Well it looks as though we are going to lose again. Therefore I am going to officially kiss goodbye to 2004.

*kiss*

Mark's Girl, don't be like that. Don't be negative. We can still make the finals, if we win some games after this one. And to look at the positives; some of the guys have really lifted; the youngins (Mattner, Begley and Doughty). And the rookies are showing something. This season won't be a complete waste! :)

Although I must say; Ayers if you dont bring back Bode next week, you're gone mister!

Super gameplan.

Get five goals up early in the second quarter and stop. Then with 2 minutes left start up again and claim an 'honourable loss' at the death.

I'm sorry Angel Eyes - but it is seriously time we all faced facts. We are NOT going to make the finals this year. We ARE going to finish in the relms of 12 -16th. We are now 2 wins and 7 loses. Season 2004 is over. The only thing we can get from season is experience for our youngsters. It sucks - and I hate it - but we have to face the facts.

Never say never! There is always a way, and until the finals are well out of our reach maybe then I'd accept that comment, but at this point in time, I'm not having a bar of it!

Yeah, they had to with the way bloody McLeod, Edwards and Johncock played tonight.

I agree but I'd like to see Ayres resign tonight.

Took you this long did it? At least we're on the same page now!

I'm actually stunned we got that close...what an excruciatingly awful game to watch. We've plummeted to new depths...

Doughty is 25 this year and in his fifth season... and he's nothing more than an SANFL player. People talk about him like he's this promising 21yo, he's not, he's a mediocre player in the Clay Sampson mould.

Too many times Doughty was too slow with his decision making and there was many an occasion when he looked to get on his right too much. When we were up and flying early in that second quarter he was clear on goal and could've shot on his left, but no, he had to look for his right and was buried holding the ball.

Needs to go in the offseason. Like a blunt axe, he's not much chop.

I was holding out hope........but after giving away a 5 goal advantage. Not even I - the most optomistic of all Crows supporters can deny it any longer.

Can I have some of those drugs?

It's called optimism. It's found in every person thats willing to accept that POV.

And Marks girl, you never know, if ALL the top 8 have massive losing streaks, and we win a whole lot in a row, the game is on!

I thought he was going ok in the first half - but he died in the last half.

Think like winners

If anyone thinks we can make the finals, then they are either smoking to much or have needle marks in their arms

To go down to the pies with their team in the state that it is can not be underestimated.

I know we must be positive, and now it time to blood the young players as the finals are shot but those in charge must acknowlege that this is the case and not keep going on the pretence that the finals are an achievable goal

Its time for those fringe players that we have to be tested to see if they are worth hanging on to, etc and if not, see you later and lets draft some others

I read in today's paper that the board have offered to help the coach in any way they can.

They can start with designing a new gameplan.

Tonights match was almost exactly like the loss against the Kangaroos at home late last year.

Surely that should be enough to convice the club that our style of play needs to be scrapped.

Started brilliantly and then we couldnt generate enough run from defence. We break down at half back that many times its not funny!

I said in February that our stop start, kick it wide, criss crossing go nowhere gameplan is an unflushed ****.

Its an absolute shocker and it was a a factor in us losing the game tonight.

Thank God for Ben Hart. I didnt think he'd come up too well but he was a gem. Bass looked much better with Hart in the team.

Carey needs some help up forward. He needs another tall who can take a mark.

We've said for a while that Carey will really help Watts out, which is true.

However I also think the really interesting part of a Watts/Carey structure is how much Watts could help Carey.

Play the boy at FF or a pocket or flank. His height and courage should provide us with another target we desperatley need.
