Yes. We get to hold up money bags and bleat endlessly on every BF board about him at the drop of a hat, show our class and boo him mercilessly and wish career ending drug scandals and injuries upon him. We'll stalk him and his wife on social media. We'll comment on his dress sense. And call him a shit player who's past it.
Oh wait. No that's if we're Hawthorn supporters. Actually we thank him for 2012, acknowledge his AA efforts this year, wish him the best and invite him back into the fold and reclaim him as a Swan when his career north is over.

Id say massive chance, a smokey for round 1 for mine. The kid is a star and is criminally under rated.
He said he owes the club so much... Blah fu(king blah. Swans stood by the guy after 3 knee reconstructions and he shizens in their face. Maybe he should have been smarter with the money he had already earnt.

Yeah. True that. I know his best mate and Nick is definitely a Melbourne boy and definitely told my mate he wanted to eventually come back home. Oh well. He might earn enough to get a real hair cut.

The Gold Coast SUNS have signed Sydney Swans defender Nick Malceski as an unrestricted free agent.
Malceski produced his best season in 2014, playing all 25 games for the Swans and earning All-Australian honours.
He played a pivotal role in helping the Swans reach the this year’s AFL Grand Final.
Malceski, 30, has played 176 AFL matches since making his debut in 2005 including kicking the winning goal in the 2012 Grand Final.
The penetrating half-back brings with him proven premiership experience and valuable leadership qualities.
List & Strategy Manager, Scott Clayton, said the club was thrilled to acquire a player of Malceski’s calibre.
“Nick’s decision to join the Gold Coast SUNS is huge. It’s a massive vote of confidence for our club, the players and our future.
“A great leader who brings premiership experience, Nick’s signing delivers us with a player who is at the top of his game, who we believe will make a major contribution over the next three years,” Clayton said.
Malceski admitted it was an extremely tough decision to leave the Swans, but the chance to be a key leader in taking a talented emerging list to the next level and to a sustained period of success was too good to miss.
"I am sad to have to leave Sydney.
"It has been great to me and I owe the club so much. I came to the club as an 18-year-old and have become the person I am today because of this place and it's people and culture.
"To have mentors like John Longmire, Brett Kirk and Adam Goodes was such a privilege and those habits, values and behaviours are forever with me.
"But this was too good an opportunity to miss both for my family and me personally. At Sydney I was surrounded by a depth of great leaders and at the SUNS it is all new and young. I am looking forward to helping them build a sustainable and successful team."

We got the best years of Mal, good luck to him. He was obviously quite torn by the whole thing, loves the club etc, but he's getting on and needs to make the right decisions for him and his family. At least he didn't end up at Hawforn.

I don't think he owes the club a damn thing anymore- they stuck with him through knee reconstructions and he gave us a lot of loyal service and you could argue the 2012 premiership. He didn't get over his three knee reconstructions- have a good year and leave us. He stuck around until 31, helped win us a premiership than got an offer far better than what we could offer. I think it'll be good to rotate some new guys through their...
Better Mal leaves this year, Shaw next year than have them both leave next year and needing two replacements.
I'm happy for Mal- happy for Gold Coast. And I'm not going to boo him, I'll probably go down to a Gold Coast game and thank him and wish him luck!

Clubs delist players every year, people say "oh well bad luck" but when a player chooses to leave for financial security there are people wishing him injury?
