Still feeling sad. Will miss him greatly. I have never been old enough to remember St.kilda without Harvey. What an amazing career. Assistant coach maybe one day?

A Legend of the game and one of the best role models going around.

Mr. Harvey, thank you for the memories. You will be missed by true football fans everywhere.

An absolute champion is Harvey. One of my all time favourite players. I feel privileged to have grown up watching this great man play. You Harvey, are a true champion.

Robert Harvey.....absolute CHAMPION

I joined in the "HARVEY" chant last night with gusto......and it surprised me how emotional I felt about doing it too..

The AFL won't be the same without you......a new era begins

Has been an absolute champion and a most respected player for many years. I wish him all the best in the future. Saints fans have seen the end of genuine legend of the game.

i don't think anyone realises how big a loss he is going to be for st.kilda on the field, irreplaceable.

I cannot believe it's over, I'm still completely devestated. Sorry Harves, you deserved better than that in your last game. But you've always deserved better, in a way I guess it was a fitting farewell. I woke up this morning on the floor of someones house with a goon bag for a pillow and a swollen hand having dreamed we made the granny, and just for a few blissful seconds I thought your career was still alive. Then I remembered where I was and what happened and burst into tears once again. We've lost a few prelims recently but none hurt as much as this one. I think I'm gonna take a break from bigfooty for a while until I fully get over this, I'll see you guys in the pre season. Harves you are a legend, I'll never forget. Please stay around the club, we need you. Go Saints :(

i am yet to see as saints side without him. I know for a fact our delivery forward will be a whole lot worse without those 20m kicks. :(

Great player, sad to see it's over.

There was not a single supporter in or around me that was not clapping and chanting 'Harvey' as he was carried off.

Nice bloke next to me (avid hawk fan) was crying, and seeing him like that (combined with Harvey's emotional tribute) brought a tear to me eye too.

I can't say I saw him as a young player, but even people my age recognise what a champion player he was.

Farewell, The Lagacy will always live on.

Going to the footy won't be the same. I am old enough to remember Harv's first game and I am very proud to say that I was there last night to see his last.
An absolute legend and icon of the game and from all accounts a fantastic bloke.
Harvs - watching you play footy over the last 21 years has been an absolute pleasure and has given me so much enjoyment.
Thank you and good luck with whatever your future brings.

does anyone have a clip of the speach he gave in the rooms after the game?

They only showed it on TV with camera footage, you couldn't hear what he was saying.

When the game was over and done with last night, even I had tears running down my face.
Sad to see Rob Harvey retire. I just hope that he ends up being your new midfield coach. He would be useful for Rossco.

Just dropping in to pay my respects. What an absolute legend and icon of the game. Such a terrific player, disciplined and thoughtful. A true role model for how to go about playing your football - well done to R.Harvey and good luck with the future. :thumbsu:

Its gonna be so strange next year without him playing for the saints. He's just a guy that everyone loves and he will be remembered for a long time.

I have never seen a player so loved by all of the players he played against. The way the likes of Buckley and Hird speak about him is testament to the champion he is.

The most emotional part for me was when Crawf left his post-game interview to give Harves a hug before he got chaired off.

thank you harvs for the many years of excitement and magic you brought me.. i was at his last game in WA and it was magical i just wish i couldve been there for his last game...

you are a true champion and will miss you on the ground....
there wont be another superstar for a very long time...

never have i seen some one who can turn 3-4 people inside out as if it was like a slow motion clip then run in and chip it to a leading ff like you have everything was always class and never giving up the hope....

lets hope you do a gehrig or lockett trick and come back next year outa no where :P come on harvs... 1 last chance ;)
