Well folks I think I've outlived my usefulness here. It has certainly been nice having a place on the net where one could feel a certain familiarity with the posters here, and I wanted to thank all the people on bigfooty for that. But the only way I can ever get out of here is by finishing this doctorate, and I have to focus all my energies on this, as I think whatever I do here in Brisbane isn't going to lead me where I want to be.

Why do people quit message boards???

How can you forget your user name and password to begin with and how can you not be on the net and not swing by here at some stage?

There should be some sort of unspoken internet law that states, if you join a message board, you are not allowed to "quit"! Just post more and more infrequently!!!
