Goodes for 08' Captaincy...

Why not, the bloke is an absolute star who loves playing for the club and has absolute massive heart and spirit. Coming into a season like we are going to face in 08 i think its fitting we have a best player as captain, and maybe the likes of Leo and Baz will only have to concentrate on playing good football. Disapointed in Adam's first half of the year, not the form side (after all, he has one 2 Chas's, he's bound to have a few bad games) but the discipline side, instead of realising he was out of form, and focusing on improving or being a leader, he decided to get angry on field and start kncoking players around, which resulted in him getting reported. But i'd say he's more than made up for that in his second half of the season.

So i think that Adam Goodes should be Sydney's 2008 Captain.

I agree with this. He should have been given the captaincy by himself 2 years ago.

On Goodes though...... Imagine if we had 2 of this bloke. We would never lose a game. He was absolutely awesome again last night and justified why he has 2 brownlow medals. His performance was god-like.

Nick Malcheski is the man to lead this club.

He is perhaps our best player consistently for the year. He has Captain written all over him. That goal he kicked in the last Q when the game was over was just sensational.
Never gives up.
Give it to him now so that we can develop around him.
He'll also play midfield next year. No doubt!!

i was thinking the same as you bloodborn... kirk easily as stand alone captain.

bazza is influential, but he need to actually mark the ball & kick goals etc

leo tries his a$$ of every week but not as "leapin"as he used to be

kirk, goes about his business week in week out & is one of the most consistent & fairest players in the whole league let alone in the team... no better model... i would like to see mickey & goodes as vice-captains tho - if you want to see passion, watch mickey fire up after his goals & he also has the credentials with his longevity as a swan... & as for goodes, i give him the thumbs up just cos he's adam goodes! hehehe

A bit harsh on hall. He was obviously still severly restricted in his movement.

You have to question the decision to play him though.

i have said this all season....malch is a future captain.....maybe he can be appointed in some kind of understudy role to kirk, who should be sole captain mainly coz hall needs to concetrate on his career and barry is no certainty for our first 22 going on his form since he returned from injury
