Stevens didnt get too many games in with the Swans. I never really liked the guy at the start but I noticed that the more chances he got, the better he did. So be patient with him. He can take strong marks, kick goals and has pretty good speed too. All the best to him at the Crows.

Pretty good game, there were a few grabs he got two hands to but didn't pull in that he perhaps should have and needed to convert a little better, both points he adressed in his post match interview on 5AA. If he can improve on them, should be a handy player.

Yeah, had a solid game, but could have been better if a few more of his attempted marks stuck & his goal-kicking was better. Appears to have footy smarts & left-foot snap for goal was clever.

pleased with Stevo #2's efforts today. I think he has a promising future with us.
So when are you changing your name to ScottsGirl-kbcrowgirl... ;)

As I said before, be patient with the young fella. He will improve with more chances.

He was promising but there is plenty of water to go under the bridge.

He needs to hold more marks. He got his hand on pleny but dropped about 4 or so marks. His kicking for goal is REALLY bad but nothing that Jars can't fix. if he could get Perrie to kick straight there is no reason why Stevo can't be fixed up. :D

I would want him to put on at least another 6-7 kg but to me he looks like the sort of bloke who finds it hard too put on weight.

It's funny because we had almost the exact comments going around our forums when he got a couple of games in. He seemed so promising but kept stuffing up at times and failed to impress.

For a guy who now has played as many games as he has, the inability to one grab a mark is a real concern. We can fix his kicking, as his technique isn't all that bad.
He definately has the footy smarts, and with some further physical development, he will be quite a handy player for us (if he can one grab)

Maybe wearing a glove or 2 would help. I really cannot understand players' reluctance to wear gloves. I would make all our KPP and ruckman wear gloves. If players like Tredrea, C. Cornes, Lepp and even Lloyd at times can wear gloves why can't the likes of Perrie, Stevens, Biglands etc...

It won't improve their marking a hell of a lot but it sure would help a bit. If the gloves help them hold a third of their dropped marks it would be worth it.

Another thing Stevens has to improve on is his inconsistency. I can just about bet now that he will be unsighted against Freo.:(

Its also called having soft hands.
Some players have a natural feel for the ball, others, its like hitting a wall, it just bounces off.
Come on down Mr Biglands

Should be interesting against Fremantle, to see if Stevens can flourish on the bigger grounds, or his mobility becomes an issue.
