It's gonna be really helpful by people trying to find directions. Using this they can actually see the house/building which makes it infinitely easier if you're going for a job interview or something. You'll know EXACTLY where to go.just had a quick look and is brilliant isn't it.
i can see now why some people are a bit weary of it though in terms of privacy. sounds a bit picky but the vision is actually top quality and if, by massive co incidence, saw someone you did know then you'd most likely recognise them... but i'm pretty sure they've covered that by blurring peoples faces yeah??
anyway, this will definetaly come in handy at many stages of my life i'm sure.... finding footy grounds, finding bus stations or hostels (some hostels are a pain in the ass to find - poorly signed) and loads of situations.
Taking the internet to a whole new level.

What happens now? As this technology improves so does its capability what if the images are updated weekly? Daily? I mean its not out of the question that sooner or later it could be hourly. Then you can be checked up on at any given time, no more privacy. Yes that is being a bit paranoid however 10 years ago would you have thought that Street View would be possible from your PC?
Google House View
How? They are still images photographed once by a moving car.
If that were to happen, there'd need to be cameras hooked up everywhere and this program would be the least of our problems.
While it is an incredible application, I find it quite worrying there is no regulation and no power to the general populace. There are already cases where people are finding themselves in trouble, being sacked from sleeping on the job, some bloke has been busted cheating on his wife and they have managed to put up images of private roads (strictly illegal but they are up there) etc I dont actually approve of those activities however its none of mine, our business.
