Seems pretty awesome, though I'm not sure how someone would look walking around wearing these. Will probably cause even more pedestrian frustration than walking towards someone who is texting/Facebooking without looking up also.

"Unveiled their designs" seems like a bit of a stretch. If you go to the webpage it's basically a bunch of pictures of people wearing glasses and a video that shows how such a concept 'might' work.

No indication that they've done... well, anything. Basically it sounds like a couple of Google techs were having a few drinks one night and said "wouldn't it be cool if..." and they made a webpage about it.

No wonder his mate Paul bailed on him so quickly, he didn't even have the courtesy to turn off his music. Paul probably kept trying to start conversation, but Mr. Technology over here was too immersed in his "augmented reality".

They should call these bubble glasses.

They would probably be cool for the first 5 mins then they would just get annoying with stuff popping up in front of you all the time.

A bit like those cars that talk to you and remind you of stuff. I drove a car like that in the States and it seemed like a cool gimmick at first but then getting constant reminders to put your seatbelt on or refuel got old real quick.

I guess you can always take the glasses off if they are annoying you while there was no way of shutting up the voice in the talking car.
