I am pretty shaw he is signed with the Dockers.

But how many year are left on his contract?

I think he has got the biggest talent in the AFL, and will be targeted by many teams in many years to come! Just wondering if Collingwood should look into him, or if he is as passionate as Matthew Pavlich to stay with the Dockers.

By the way... His contested marks, are the best in the league, and that is a statement.

I think he's out of contract this year and hasn't resigned yet.

I don't know if he's the best contested mark but for his age he definately would be. Last year I think he was fairly high up in the contested marks stakes, he doesn't flinch down back. Just needs to sort out his kicking when he goes forward.

I'd doubt collingwood would get him the way they trade in recent times, I really hope we don't lose him. I'd assume he'd want to stay in WA considering he's a WA boy, but that guarentees nothing.

I can't see why he'd want to leave WA, but that doesn't excuse him for wanting to get as good a deal as he can get. A bit of pressure from other clubs can mean an extra $100k a year.

In saying that, a ruptured ACL can mean $100k less a year.

I doubt he would leave. This is the last year of his current contract though.

Polak is coming along nicely.... just taking some time to mature. You just have to look at Longmuir for anyone that wants the club to consider trading him.

And I think his kicking for goal is getting better... definitely doesn't look as shaky as it did last year.

Would take pick 1 and a pretty good player to even bother considering that :)

Doubt he'll go in the preseason draft for nothing.

Oct 2004: Croad to Fremantle, Polak to Hawthorn.
Oct 2005: Croad to Hawthorn, Harry Miller to Fremantle.

Pick 1 and Crawford for Polak.
Or, being as that would be a stupid idea, a three way thing with Brisbane.
Polak to Hawthorn
Peter Everitt to Brisbane
Copeland to Freo.

Nope, Peter Everitt wouldn't go, Hawthorn has nothing to offer us, and Copeland would still be good in Freo colours.

This year the only player I would trade for would be Josh Carr, but we should only trade picks. If we can't pick up Carr, we shouldn't trade anyone. I think that the group we have at the moment has the capability to become a finals contender given a few years experience and stability as a group.

If we traded Polly we would have to be run by a bunch of complete arseclowns.

Heard the rumour, I'll throw in Luke Ball wanting to wear the "poo".

Polly should stay as he is slowly maturing (similar to JLo as mentioned earlier) and I reckon that the culture at Freo is alot better than at the club that is quickly becoming known as the Tassie Team, very incestuous.

Fully agree FreoDocker, they should not trade any of current week to week playing group. Guys that are playing WAFL like Clive, Cunningham, TLO, Doswell, Crowely, Edgcumbe, Colreavy and Haines are all trade bait if anyone wants them.

Fair play Rob, Copeland is a good player, albeit I wouldn't trade Polak to get him.

Just interesting to see where Freo fans see Polack. Seems to have been squeezed out of the key positions at Freo and is playing a gap filler at present. Am I wrong? I don't get to see that much of Freo.

What would you want for him, given that he it seems his trade value at present would still hinge more on his possible talent rather than proven ability (in contrast to saw McPharlin who has gone on to prove why Hawthorn were ****ed to lose him).

What would you want from the Roos, assuming Wells is NOT on offer?

Wells would be the only even trade I can think of, but still I doubt very much that we'll be trading Polak unless he demands a trade.

Fair enough, thought that might be the case.

Would be surprised if he really wanted out given he's a WA boy and is still deveolping, and Freo has a decent young list.

Was just interested to know.

I never wanted Peter Bell to go back to Freo given the Roos gave him his chance and he was great for us, and would be captian at North if hadn't have gone.

In the end I think the trade was fair, pity we wasted one pick on Smith.

Speaking of Smith... he will probably play this week after outstanding form in the WAFL for Peel.

As for Polak... I really hope we don't trade him under any circumstances, unless the deal was too good to refuse.
