I have guaranteed grand final ticket but my brother has to go into the ballot. Are we still able to register together in the hope that he gets a ballot ticket (if we make it) and be able to sit together? or do we have to register separately because we are different membership categories?

I don't understand any of it. Buying a ticket in the 90s seemed easy. I got a letter saying I need to register on Thursday or something. I'm a Schimma member which I believe gives me first dibs on a ticket though.

Anyone can explain it really simply how all this works?

i've got a schimma one too mate. we have a guaranteed seat

We pay $5 (each seat) to register on Thursday morning. If we lose to Swans, say "bye bye" to that $5 x?. That part of it is an out-and-out rort.

The way I understood it is that we have to choose "best available ticket" come Thursday. I'm unsure if that changes to choosing a pricing category come Monday, but you would hope so... Because some people may get given category 1 seats & not be able to afford them.

Would like this clarified too, please. Me and the bro have guaranteed, dad and Mrs. do not. I understand they are not guaranteed, but do I have to go into the ballot with them so we can sit together, or will they be put with us if they are successful? Very confusing. (Would ring the club, but literally have no voice left after lat night).

I think you can still register together, but if he doesn't get a ballot then you will be sitting next to someone else.

As a funny side note to this... me and my 6 year old are priority 1 (guaranteed) and my 3yo girl priority 2... ill put her in her own ballot for shits n giggles. If she gets a ticket ill get it upgraded to an adult and give it to one of you. She can come in for free and sit on my knee if she wants to come.

i don't get this either. I'm have been out of country ten years i thought it would be queue up overnight like it was last time. so much fun in the queue. anyway i am a priority two member. what chance do u have. I had presumed that as there is a priority three ballot then priority two would get a ticket for sure. how many priority one and two members do we have?

If we had say 20,000 priority 1 and 2 members then it would be pointless having a priority 3 ballot wouldn't it? so maybe we only have 10,000? is there a break down anywhere of our 40,000 members.
The was a graphic somewhere that showed most of our members are limited games members (i.e. 3 games)

I kind of understand the rationale behind the system. I'm a priority 2 member so can appreciate those that paid for higher memberships etc have first choice. Just hope if we make it that we haven't got too many priority 1 memebers so us in '2' can get some leftover tickets. A really good first world issue having to deal with here.

As a Schimma member, do I have to register?

If I do, then that's completely ******.

Yes, you have to be extorted to pay ticketek because of an AFL agreement with them.

I think the $5 for not getting a ticket is also bullshit.

I think priority 2 should be right.
