What sort of info do you need to provide when booking tickets via Ticketmaster for AFL finals at Domain but using a WCE membership to get the early sale?

Im going to use the inlaws membership but havent done it before so not sure what key pieces of info I need to obtain from them this week..

Not much really, you just need their membership card, and you use the barcode number. Last time I did it was 2012, and it was pretty straight forward from memory.

No worries. Good luck with it. I'll be on there at 9am Monday morning for the QF tickets (if we beat the saints of course)
I think Eagles final goes on sale Tuesday.

If your on 9 AM Monday you may end up with Freo tickets :p

Better check before hand!

I am confused. The page says (for the GF):

Should the West Coast Eagles qualify for a preliminary final in 2015, the following members will have access to register for the grand final ticket ballot:

Priority group 1: Noteholders and Victorian Platinum members

Priority group 2: Other Season members, Victorian Gold, and Interstate members

Priority group 3: In The Wings Plus members

The ballot itself would only run should the West Coast Eagles qualify for the 2015 Toyota AFL Grand Final.

It's a ballot, so what "priority" do I gain for being a Noteholder?

Or do they mean, they award seats randomly to Priority 1 for so long as there are seats, then move to the Priority 2 barrel and award seats randomly to Priority 2 for as long as there are seats, then move to Priority 3 etc?

Meaning, on the basis that there are fewer than 17,500 Noteholders and Vic Platinum members in the ballot, then all in the Priority 1 ballot will get seats?

I booked my package at the start of the year when I had no idea we would be anywhere near the top eight, let alone a chance to finish first or second. The package included a premium ticket to the ground, a breakfast plus the centre square after the game. I booked my airfare and hotel back in January so got great prices on both. The package cost $1700, airfare with Tiger was $320 return and the hotel $450 each for my mate and me for 5 nights. So all up $2470 which I think isn't too bad and well worth every penny if the Eagles make it to the big stage. Here's hoping.

This is what I did back in December. Costings almost exactly the same. Obviously, being a Hawks supporter was feeling a bit more bullish about our prospects. Got to say it has made the season very long and unbearable, get so nervous I can barely watch the games. Now, I vascillate between i think we're going out in straight sets to taking celebratory selfies with Brad Hill on the boundary fence on the big day. Don't think I'll go if the Hawks don't make it, not sure how valuable my ticket will be if its a Freo V WC GF.

That's the one I was going off. I guess we'll get an email from the club on Sunday at some stage, or at least some info on the website after the Saints game, that should clear it up.
yeh they'll let us know. Eagles website definitely says Tuesday.

It makes sense the 2 games are sold on different days, otherwise ticketmaster will crash even more than normal

The top of the details on the afl page link does say this though...

"The times and dates listed below are correct at the time of publishing. Should there be a week when both the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle play in Perth, the on-sale arrangements may alter".

So i dare say our tickets will go on sale Tuesday if we end up finishing second.

The allocation of tickets is absolute BS. As a noteholder (s******ing at all the standard members waiting in line as I saunter down the priority ticketmaster line at Subi to get my GF tickets) in 06 and getting seats behind the goals on ground level whilst the corporate BS members get wing seats on levels 2 and 3... anyhooo... You're going to pay through the nose but best bet is getting corporate packages. Having been in 05 and 06 I figure it might be a long wait before another chance so why not go?

You can name your own price and watch the bidding go up on an upward spiral.

I hope so..... basically the only reason I paid extra for a vic platnium.

Altough my bro only has a gold membership so may take my chance as priority 2 rather than sitting alone.

I'm pretty sure that's how it works - all Priority 1 members who enter the ballot will get tickets, and since there aren't enough Priority 1 people to fill the total allocation (even if 100% of them entered the ballot) there will be some left over for the Priority 2 ballot.

So um, this is the first finals series we've been in since becoming a member (well, just borrowed a membership for the past two years). Is it possible for me to purchase home finals tickets on the tuesday somewhere online, or is it strictly in person?

Oh ep...

Yes you can buy online, by phone or in person. You need your barcode numbers is all.

I'm a note holder too, got behind the goals front row ... It was awesome, high fives them as they did the lap

You are getting your years wrong. 05 was the line up. I got a Carlton supporting mate to come to Subi oval about at half time to get a spot up the front while we were flogging the crows. Was actually a fun night, except for a little rain. Having the crows team bus drive past us all on their way out of the ground about an hour after the final siren was great. They were none too pleased with our carry on ;)

06 was no lining up. Just a phone line first in best dressed, but note holders was open first for an hour or so until normal members could get in. I remember my sneaky trick of ringing up with 10 mins left of note holders only and just repeating pressing number options in an endless loop until normal members time opened up. No engaged tones for me :)

Personally preferred those methods. If you really wanted a ticket you would get one. Now with a ballot people will still apply even with no intention of going... only intention to on sell at a profit.

In 05 i logged into ticket master and got my 4 tickets within 10 min. I will try again this year if we make ot

ive paid a non ref $100 deposit on a chartered flight leaving fri morn back sun night. total cost $1250. if we don't get in the GF I just lose the $100... not sure how I'm gonna go about acquiring tix though.

Apparently there are about 15 seats left with the price to go up by $100 following the last home and away game of the season. They've had a look over the plane (Fokker 100 for those aviation enthusiasts) and discussed important technical issues such as exactly how many cartons of beer we can fit on the plane.

Gonna be a party plane heading over and, if the cup comes west with us, a debaucherous ride home!
