Getting There? - Family friend offered to drive me down for it because she can catch up with my Mum for the weekend in Geelong.

Anyone flying you're looking at $500+ one way on QANTAS to go within 24 hours of the bounce, Virgin's a bit cheaper but there aren't many flights left

Leaving sparrow fart friday morning and hoping to get their around 4pm. Dont know where im staying. Will be out most of the time and if we win i dont think ill be sleeping sat night.
4 of us going by car, leaving Friday morning. NFI where we're staying yet. First priority was WINNING THE PRELIM. Now the panic has set in!

I got my accommodation now-the Old Melbourne Inn (I think it is) in North Melbourne. Heaps of trams go right past and it's got a heated pool. Can't wait!

If by the grace of all things holy I can manage to snare a ticket in the morning we will be driving over on Friday but I doubt we wil arrive in time for the parade. Please, please, please let it be so!

The official Power grand final after match function will be held at the Melbourne Convention Centre on the corner of Spencer and Flinders Streets. Players will arrive at this function at approximately 9pm. There will be player and coach interviews and music to dance the night away. So be where the action is and dine with the players. Tickets are $250 and include a three course meal, beer and wine. To book a seat call Meg on 08 8447 9926 until Thursday, and on Friday and Saturday on 0410 440 478. $140 for the Power breakfast, same phone number
Supporters after-match presentations are at 7:30. Winners at Punt Road Oval (next to the G), losers at Telstra Dome Victory Room ($5 members, $15 others)

Well despite having a GF ticket, I cant get a plane to either Melbourne, Sydney or Adelaide for less than $1300 so I wont be going.
Have fun you lucky mongrels, and cheer loud for me.
(and before you ask, no sorry I dont wanna sell the ticket)

Due to being self-employed, the extra cost of not being able to work, plus the inconvenience to my customers, makes any option other than a plane (or some fancy star trek type stuff) just not an option.
I'd love to throw the swag in the back of the hilux and mosey on down at 100kph.
