Dear All Forum readers,

The thread says it in a nutshell but Jono Horn and Fraser Cameron are taking the drivers' seat this week in the VAFA's online "Footy Show". Previously entitled The Ammo Show, it's now called For the Love of The Game and should be available in video download on Friday morning. Just go to vafa.com.au and click on the banner on the RH top corner.

In this week's show we're previewing A, a bit of B and quite a bit of C section matches with plenty of banter and some good natured bagging of various clubs and personalities. I'm thinking it's a little rough around the edges but for the first stab we're hoping it comes across OK.

If anyone is keen to watch and critique please feel free to do so as viewer input is critical. W're hoping to get clubs to provide some input (eg. game footage of great marks/goals) as we move to the finals to add some visual excitement.

Cheers (and be gentle!)

Good luck. After you and the Hornet have tidied up the video show, perhaps you can then work on the appalling FTLOTG column in the Record, which with its poor taste jokes should be an embarassment to the VAFA. Then there's the Cameron "Don't call me Billy Bob Thornton" Noakes column.

Have the Hornet and Scribe ousted the Braniac and Scatman from the ammo show set?

Was it a smooth transition to power Scribe?

All about peaceful revolutions in the VAFA.

Not entirely.

Let's just say it wasn't as ugly or embarassing as the awkward attempts by the Member for Higgins (Costello, Lib.) to shake Little Johnny out of the PM's chair.

Whilst we'd like to think we appeal more to the playing demographic, I doubt the Horn/Cameron combo will have complete hosting rights.

Apparently it's part of the VAFA's rotation policy......

I look forward to hearing it Scribe, I do regret that Scribe2 no longer posts on these forums. One of the finer forum members we have had. Perhaps the bigfooty community could be a topic for discussion on one of the later episodes.

Have it on good authority that the famous Scribe and Hornet have already been rotated out next week and we will see the return of the other two.

Short but sweet stay......

You two are obviously very knowledgeable on the VAFA and it's good to hear your insights but mostly they are nothing new and it would have been good if you had stopped making exactly the same observations and slapping each other on the ass. Was nice for a change to have two guys who like NOBSPC, unlike the biased opinion of the worst Scribe in the VAFA in Tom Brain, he has a personal vendetta against us and his call that we had no chance against AJAX shows just how much he knows. Focus more on getting it right in your end of season trips Tommy

From what I have heard about some of the things NOBS have done to Tom Brain over the past few years it is no wonder he has little or no respect for you.

Abusive and insulting phone calls in the middle of the night is not the way to treat a bloke who knows more about VAFA Football than most at NOBS......

I do believe it was Old Essendon that had the previous B Section scribe (not sure of his name) retire from his post through excessive weekend texting. The bloke never tipped them once during the year and things boiled over when OE knocked off premiership winners Old Melb at the Junction. The slogan was quite simple "Brain for B Grade".

Whilst a often unsure of his choices, particularly on end of season trips, Tommy provides what most other VAFA scribes cannot, a pr0n moustache, and a bleached mullet. I fell that Alphonse and other NOBS should pay more respect to this.

I think Scribe would look quite good with a pr0n moustache and bleached mullet.

Perhaps it should become mandatory for all Scribes to be stuck in the late
80's?

Duly noted, and as a Hawthorn supporter, I agree.

Sadly, in the late 80's I was struggling through years 8 - 10 and hadn't gained the courage to tip the hair. The school policy of nothing below the collar put paid to many mullet hopefuls, including me. The best I could muster was more akin to Anthony Condon than Gary Ayres or the greatest one of all, Darrin Pritchard.

(sigh)

Brainy doesn't have a Mullet as such anymore he has trimmed it up most noticeably...
Would love to know what he got up to on those footy trips though.....

Scribe,

Roy would like to offer his services to assist you and the horn next time you get the call up for the Ammos show. Roy enjoyed your musings first up but feel I would be a valuable acquisiton to your team. You obviously know of my immense knowledge of all things VAFA and have already included me in your weekly c Section report.

Red would only charge a small fee.

For you consideration

Roy.

What he thought was a 'she' but turned out to be a 'he', but did that stop him.........?

Can't believe that......
Not even Tommy Brain would be silly enough to tell anybody a story like that.
You have to be kidding us.......!!!!!!!.

I'm only repeating what I have heard from a friend who played at Prahran when Tommy was team manager. Whatever happened on that footy trip, clearly didn't stay there!

Dear Roy,

Thank you for your kind offer - I will convey it to the powers that be at HQ.

However, note that the show may be viewed by many children, who could be scared out of their wits at the prospect of a one-eyed monster on the panel. Whilst many children's fables refer to the Cyclops as being a mild mannered beast, being faced with the reality of one might turn some of the kiddies off VAFA football for good. Remember, they are the future.

If you're capable of opening the other eye, and Reds confound all critics to leap into the Final 4 as you've boldly predicted, then a pre-finals C section show could be the go!!!

Cheers
