Anyone else have a read of the article about the Eagles' pregame sequence in todays West Aust? If you haven't, I'd recommend heading out and getting a copy post haste- basically, the reporter followed the Eagles players through their pre game rituals before last week's game. Lots of really interesting stuff about the different attitudes of players- Jako rants and raves, Chick is very mellow, etc.
One thing which stood out was that Worsfold got stuck into Hunter and Cox, telling them both that the team was depending on them. Interesting in the light of their performances on friday

Very interesting read over lunch that was - first time neither Mark nor Gordon has stolen our paper to read the footy on Monday for ages - respected colleagues, I mean pricks.

Interesting how different players have such different routines and styles. The Eagles obviously encourage everyone to do it in their own individual way, then come together as a team at the critical moments. Seemed to work anyway!

i enjoyed the read also. great stuff

on another note, andy macleod has written an article on afl.com.au about judd and the eagles ability to resign key players. for such a champion to save favourable things about our club is definitely not a compliment to be taken lightly.. (or maybe it is???)

Yeah, Andy Mcleod saying that stuff really surprised me. His club is also a very good club off and on the field and it was the highest compliment that could be paid to have him speak in such glowing terms about our club!

I only read it tonight - and it was a fantastic piece of journalism. I can't remember who wrote it, but he stuck to the facts as they were laid out, no interpretation, no BS. Unusual to see from the West, but I was wrapped with it!!!

Great article - very interesting about how the players get ready before the big game. It is suprising how early players get to the game - has anyone ever gone to the game as soon as the gates open?

I always knew Jako was a loud mouth before the game - I was sitting right next to the players race during the Wizard Cup game and he was by far the most vocal player.

A great read, really gives you an insight to what goes on before a game. Makes you feel closer to the team, kind of like you have been let in on info you shouldnt know. Would love to hear more about the behind the scenes stuff that goes on at the club.

Yeah he is loud, he'd love to gee the boys up. It was quite interesting to see when I looked at the player profiles on the eagles site that alot of the younger guys name Jako as their most admired footballer.
