Congratulations on a gutsy/professional/hard fought win.
Can you enlighten me on Blakeys role in your coaching department. This bloke has really flown under the radar all of his career. Is highly qualified and would be a champion coach, as his former team mate Roos is. Would LOVE to see him back in our colours & coach the Lions as soon as Leigh Mathews time is up.

Cheers.

Off the top of my head, I think Blakey has been coaching the forwards - at least I think he was last year. Sorry. But there's not a helluva lot of information about him that I can find. "Assistant Coach" doesn't really tell us much...

...and in fact the Swans website doesn't even have him listed as a coach at all, so he'll be pleased with that effort.

Mabye someone with a higher level of security clearance than me can help you? :D

Yeah I'm pretty sure you're right Tuco. I don't really know how they work it, from memory its something like: Berbakov (midfield), Stone (Stoppages), Blakey (forwards). Not sure who looks after the defence???

Unless they've changed things from last season, Horse looks after the midfield (taking over from Lyon the previous year) while Berbakov is in charge of defence.

Ive always found that abit strange. Traitionally Full Forwards are not overally intelligent people and to have one in charge of our midfield has always made me abit nervious. What would a forward know about how a AFL teams midfield should operate? :D
