Remember a guy posting last year who played with Langford and said that he wasn't that much chop. Stubbs on the other hand could be something.

It's so speculative at this age. I mean Mitch Thorp was the 6th best footballer in his age group and is now playing VFL and unlikely to play AFL ever again.

Very true CLA, but it's better to get them for next to nothing (draft wise, not time invested wise) than a top 10 pick.

From what I have heard, Trent Stubbs is a back pocket player who can also play midfield and forward. Stubbsie played for the baulkham hawks and was also selected in the AIS team that traveled to South Africa in Apirl 2009.

Further to this Trent played for the east coast eagles seniors and in the match he played against the magpies he booted four goals and was named b.o.g. There were mature blokes on the ground that day and he went about his game... I personally believe we have a similar type of player to Jack Trengove.

The west coast eagles made an offer to Trent to join their scholarship side (where trent's brother is playing), but he declined this offer and joined the hawks scholarship program.

In the most recent pre-season trent flew down to melbourne where he stayed with luke hodge and was also believed to be training with the hawks senior squad.

He is now 17 and if all goes to plan he should be wearing a hawks jumper next year. I also heard that he would of been in the top 10 picks if he was to enter the draft without any scholarship affiliation.

Where we will benefit and others won't!!!

Wallace is a trier, but I don't think his disposal was AFL standard from memory.

What's the go with Stubbs? They gave him a number at the Hawthorn AGM with the intention of him playing some VFL games. What happened?

My theory on this is that he wants to be selected for the NSW side in the U/18 championships. What better way then to play under 18 TAC Cup footy against the right age of players. He will learn plenty here, and then maybe, after the championships he will come down to Box Hill for a few games.

Plus on an unrelated note, I was told that young Lachlan Langford (14 now), is meant to be one of the best young footballers in NSW. Same age as the Roos kids (plays in the same team), but is far and away the best for his age group.

Unfortunately right now he's broken his leg I believe due to a rugby accident ...
