Where do we see grigg this time next year as far as his development goes and can anyone see an A grade midfield in the future.

Grigg is my most exciting youngster. Really classy glimpses that he's shown in such a short space of time.

Still, I've seen enough football over they years to know nothing happens until it happens.

Fingers crossed, because to win a flag, you need a whole lot of guns!

Its always a worry that a player who shows plenty of promise in a break out year either goes backwards or doesn't take that next important step. The good thing in recent seasons is the string of young crows that have taken that next step. The guy is a ball magnate as well. just seems to have the ability to find it and create time and space for himself. I predict he most likely will be inconsistent next season due to finding and understanding his game. Has only played a handful of games. I think we will know a bit more at the end of next season what sort of player he will be.

When he was out there for his 5 games, he really looked like he wanted it.

His next challenge is to "do a Sloane" and keep that level of intensity for a full season.

Let's hope so. If he is able to get right physically and mentally for each week then best 22 every day.

Should we lose Vince, I see him slotting straight into that role.

Was just about to say exactly this:thumbsu:

Grigg is the reason I think we'd be fine with losing Vince. Dat left boot!

He'll be very good off a wing/half-forward with stints in the midfield. He'd surely be a sneaky chance for the Rising Star next year if he continues his good form.

What I also like about Griggy is that if you talk him up on the Adelaide Crows Pride FB page, he sometimes likes your comment. I do enjoy that small brush with fame haha:p.

He owns Sherrin and is considering a takeover of Burley?? ;)

I see Kerridge slotting straight into the Vince role!

All the signs are that Grigg is a natural and skilled footballer/midfielder. Good body size. Agility. Whatever he may lack in pace he makes up with other attributes. Should be a part of a very good emerging midfield for a fair while to come. Some inconsistency next year perhaps, but showed very good poise in the games he played for the Crows in 2013. One of the reasons why we should be on the rise.

Has the potential to really be that 4th gun midfielder in our rotation. Has a damaging disposal, is a quick thinker and has great agility.

Plus won't get any attention due to Danger and Crouch. I reckon he'll have a big preseason and will be considered as an A grade player come 2015, just strikes me as that guy.

Most anticipated player to watch next year for me, followed by Crouch and Smith if he gets free from our defence. I'm expecting big things from Grigg next year, as he has a lot of skill and seems to show a competitive spirit with a little bit of push and shove with opponents*. And that left boot of his is going to make a lot of his team mates look better themselves thanks to some pinpoint passing.

*Can those who have followed him in SANFL confirm this?

Well he got in a fight with a West player (Schmidt?) in the 2nd semi final a few weeks back.

Has beautiful skills, especially by foot and especially under pressure. These are the sort of highly skilled players who help you win premierships, just ask hawthorn and Freo.

I think he will do very well this year. With Crouch set to become our #1 mid (big call I know) and Danger, Sloane and Thommo still charging on Grigg will be able to glide around stealth like and carve up the opposition.

2014 Rising Star winner..

Best of all is he just sneaks in to qualify - must be younger than 21 on Jan 1 to qualify, he turns 21 on Jan 2 :D

agreed, could be an outstanding betting opportunity shortly. if he opens at 15-1 or over get LONG on this trade in a big big way.

3 preseasons in, looked very comfortable already at afl level, goal kicker, has elite players time and decision making prowess and a booming kick

barring injury, if he doesn't finish top 3 next year I will be surprised

Grigg also has that extra half a second to sum up the situation and make his decision

Pendlebury like (Dat left foot too)

If he becomes half the player Pendles is, we have a winner. If he becomes 3 quarters as good, watch out AFL with Danger, Sloane, Crouch and Grigg

Brutal midfield

That's a pretty good comparison ( and I say that with the acknowledgement that if I could have another teams player...it'd be Pendles). I actually think it isn't the extra half a second to sum up with those two but more the awareness of what is going on around them before others know. He'll have all his faults brought out in his second season as the opposition find his weaknesses but his strengths should over ride it.

I particularly look forward to him faking people that he is going to kick it on his right boot when he is 30 and still going back to his left

Grigg should be able to hit the hit spot from the wing at the Adelaide oval.

With 2 or 3 kicks and quick ball movement, we are having a shot on goal. His long left foot will become a massive asset next year.

Agreed. We've been crying out for a left footer with a great kick. We've found him

Just need a few more
