Met him often comes buy my mates cafe, near Carlton footy club and is good mates with Gibbs. Nice kid, problem like many have said cannot get on the park for long enough to make impresssion. Has defieciencies which MUST be worked on in order to be a regular in our midfield.

Question does he work hard enough, has he the intestinal fortitude and character to improve the facets of his game that is is required at this level? I don't know, maybe he is being inticed by GC?

Shame if he goes bc on memory he was high second round draft choice, and will be known if he doesn't make it ,as someone who did not fullfill his potential!

I really enjoyed his early games, the celebrations with BG, that awesome (mostly) left boot. Come on Ratts, load the gun and pull the Grigga!

Amazing!

Was about the time when Heath was struggling for form and was too busy playing dodgem cars rather than bothering about football.

Didn't he get suspended after that incident though? Pretty sure Shaw was in good form in the lead up to that game.

I like him from the beginning but he kind of disappeared after that bad loss.He always knew how to get the ball just his disposal wasn't great and not super quick.I feel the club may have taken a safe pick getting him as we knew he could play already.

We could have taken Chris Dawes,Gavin Urquhart,Tyson Goldsack or Carl Peterson.

I personally wouldn't give him a AFL game all year if he has signed to Gold Coast but if not he should get in our best 22 soon i hope.

For Grigg to make our 22, one of the wings or HFF players have to go out injured (Simmo, Carrots, Hoops, Robinson) or one of our genuine mids goes down (Judd, Smurph or Gibbs) before he can get a game in the midfield.

I just cant really see that happen as we have other players who have catapulted themselves into contention for the positions over the top of Grigg.

I think in the end, frustration more than money is going to play a role in his accepting a position at one of the new franchises.

If he does go, all the best to him. I am not going to be following his future career with the same sort of interest as I do with Josh.

l believe if Grigg stays fit for the second half of the year he will get an opportunity and hopefully he takes it.
If he can return to his best form, he may be in front of players like Hadley, Robinson, Mclean as these three are probably still borderline in their performance.

Gone.

Good potential, and legspeed. Richmond, Port or GC would love him.

Me thinks he's already signed for GC.

I like him, but we won't miss him. Too much depth, a lot better users of the footy ahead of him.

Even if he has signed, shouldn't we play him to pump up is value for a conpensation pick, even gift him the BnF

Haha probably. There might already be some sort of agreement between boths clubs and the player. Who knows.

He'll never recoup us a pick in the first 20 anyways, especially with how shoddy the AFLs compo system is.

I wonder if we'll see a bit of what there is in the NBA with 'Sign and trade' deals being done. Make sure clubs get good compo, AND the GC wouldn't piss off too many clubs that way.

So do I. Except the only place I've heard them is BigFooty. And the only place the people who posted them heard them from was BigFooty too.

It's really a vicious cycle of rumours. Someone will use your quote as a source for his move to GC now!

Second hand source says it's true.
Got it from a guy who knows him well enough to ask straight up and get a straight up affirmative from the horse's mouth. This was a few months ago though.
Who knows? Maybe he's changed his mind since then...
