So Grim, will there be a 2010 version of the Genie? I found it absolutely brilliant last year, especially when weighing up those crucial mid-season double trades. Tell me its back - bigger and better than ever - I beg you.

Skystyler, flattery will get you everywhere with me :D

There will be a 2010 version. I've learnt my lesson and I'm not going to promise anything, but hopefully a few of my ideas will be implemented.

thats all I need to know. :thumbsu:

those swans fans who dabble in the realms of fantasy and haven't discovered the Genie yet, get amongst it. it is the bomb.

Have you got a planned release date, Grim? I cant make a decision without consulting the Genie first.

I think you under-estimate the power of your creation.

Its a great tool for sharpening your squad. Things like "what if I downgrade Goodes to Gia. Who can I upgrade Rich for in the mid-field" etc. I know you can do that with the DT & SC Gui, but the Genie is much faster.

Whatever. I'll try to be patient.

Hey Grim, I'm using the 2010.2 version of ffgenie. All works well as far as getting the round 1 and 2 DT scores updated (I did it via site scrape). However, whenever I click on either 'edit teams', 'show filters' or 'trade wizard' I get an error message (Rather long) that starts with:

java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "5.1 build 2600 Service Pack 2"

Any idea what's going on?

I deleted all the files in that directory but it made no difference (apart from clearing my data).

I noticed this time that I get the error even before I have loaded any score data.

Here are the first 15 lines of the error message:

java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "5.1 build 2600 Service Pack 2"

Wow that's pretty screwy haha.

A bit of googling shows it's trying to find your version of Windows, expecting a number but it's getting "5.1 build 2600 Service Pack 2".

What version of Windows is it and have you run the program on it before?

XP SP2

I haven't run it on this PC before.

I think the image on this PC may have been a custom one created by my work so they may have modified some of the build info the genie is looking for.

One thing I noticed - When getting my team data (for afl DT) via the team ID the Overall ranking and weekly ranking are the wrong way around.
