Grover, Ling offered reprimands
22nd June 2009, 14:00 WST
Fremantle defender Antoni Grover and Geelong tagger Cameron Ling and have both been charged with striking following yesterday's clash at Subiaco.
However, the lower grading of their charges means they can both accept reprimands.
Ling has been charged with striking Dockers’ youngster Nick Suban and Grover with hitting the Cats’ Steve Johnson.
Grover will risk a one-match suspension if he fights his charge, but Ling cannot be handed more than a reprimand because of a penalty reduction for a five-year clean record.
The only other charge from the game was against Fremantle’s Matthew De Boer, who faces a $1950 fine for negligently making contact with an umpire.
However, Essendon star Mark McVeigh could miss Friday night’s crucial AFL clash with Carlton after being handed a one-match suspension for striking.
