Came out today. Just picked it up for 109 bucks from target. Anyone else still enjoy these games?

I'm waiting for someone I know to grab it first. Lots of fun but the new guitar doesn't look as left handed friendly as the last one when upside down so will need to try it first. Last time I had guitar hero was on a 360 with analog out, since this is different to Rocksmith as it's an actual controller does anyone know yet if there is lag when using a headset? Tried googling but I couldn't find too much.

Otherwise I guess I'll have to stick to my real guitars /grumble grumble

I got Rock Band 4, simply due to the backwards compatibility with regards to its soundtrack list (although it's not all compatible yet).

Still a shitload of fun.

I don't really like the binary look of GHL, with it's really off-putting crowd reaction system.

I'll get Rockband when I can get the Bundle for ~$300. Not sure how the can justify the 250 for just the guitar bundle and sure as shit not paying 500 for the whole thing.

You're a lefty too? That makes the collection in your sig even more impressive. I've got an EC1000 too among a few others which I've had to buy overseas due to the complete lack of left handed stock here in Aus

I ****ing love the new guitar. Feels bloody wicked nailing a solo where you gotta go from the up buttons to the down buttons to a combination of em all. Guitar Hero TV is pretty cool too but seriously **** off with the ads. I do not need ads in a game I've already ****ing paid for.

It's fun. New guitar is fun. GHTV gets addicting once you play one song and the next one just starts its hard to put down.

The live section is fairly shit though

The setlist seems so heavy/metal.

Few good songs, but I feel they have catered to the metal crowd.

That's because if it were more pop/alt rock then every song would be the same 3 buttons in 4/4 over and over.

This shakes up the formula a little bit which is nice as well. RB's pricing is awful. You can get 2x Guitar Hero + Guitar bundles for the price of the RB+Guitar combo here. The fact that the full RB set up bundle costs more than any next gen console is vomit worthy from a consumer perspective.

The biggest thing going for Rock Band is for people who owned a bucket load of DLC songs last gen since they carry over.

Got it yesterday and played for about an hour. I received a bit of a shock as it's 7 years since I last bought a GH game (World Tour) and the changes in graphics and game style since then have been enormous.

I was able to play on 'Expert' mode for most songs in the older versions, but it's going to be insanely difficult with the new guitar. I'm looking forward to the challenge.

It looks like a winner but I don't particularly like the limit they've put on 'Plays'.
