The Geelong Gumbies can today announce that they have signed free agent DREAM TEAM BUFF from the Roys FC. DREAM TEAM BUFF debuted last season and managed 5 games for the Roys.
Club co-captain peterss announced the signing today at the teams family fun day at the House of Gumby.
"The reports of us signing a player from another club are indeed true and that player is DREAM TEAM BUFF from the Roys. I am delighted to gain his services in what is a 2 year deal at the Gumbies. He is a player that i have played alongside before on a representative stage as we both played state of origin together for WA this off-season, and being one of the captains of WA i was certainly impressed with his efforts on and off the field and his willingness to come to the senior players of the group to ask questions and to want to learn from the best in the business."
"He is only young and still developing but we here at the Gumbies have a great record of developing young players into superstars and that is what we pushed to him when we made the offer and it is great to see him believe in the way we develop on players and what this football club wants going forward"
"Having lost a quality player in Claypigeon who has joined the Furies we chased hard for a senior big name replacement but unfortunately that didnt happen so we then went for a player we believe can really add to our midfield brigade in the coming seasons and we feel DREAM TEAM BUFF is in the perfect environment now to excel at what he does best and thats playing football"
DREAM TEAM BUFF was unavailable at the family fun day but he will be presented with his playing number once he arrived at the House of Gumby within the next few days.
