Heard this morning that Guns & Roses are playing at the finale of the Australian V8 Supercar series in Sydney on Saturday December 4.

Surely they haven't been brought down here for that single event? I think we can expect them to announce a few stadium shows.

Although whether they are worth seeing these days is another question...

Hope there is a full tour, however if you want to see them, get a ticket to Sydney if you can!

And yes, they are well worth seeing. They were awesome on the last tour and all the bootlegs/video's from the recent shows shows they are in top form.

Hopefully because they are playing a gig like this they won't do a "greatest hits" gig. Really looking forward to hearing the Chinese Democracy tracks they didn't play on the last tour down here.

l thought AXEL and his misfits were alright last time they were here good show rose tatts, seb Bach and Axel and crew.worth the cash l'll see them again.

Was worth the money just to see Sebastian Bach. Close to being the best individual live entertainer I have seen.

Only two hours late on stage last night with no apology.

Still going to the Adelaide show. Fingers crossed.

They were on 35mins after Spiderbait in Sydney. Go see them you won't be dissapointed. Even if you have to wait for a bit from the "scheduled" time. You won't see a better band or musicians this year. Axl's voice is as good if not better than it has ever been.

Some Youtube to wet your appetite:

Looking forward to round 2 in Perth this weekend :thumbsu:

Cheers Yibbida.

I'm fair pumped.

**** me dead.

What a performance- I have said before that I don't like Axl's cover band masquerading as gunners, but I was stupid and ignorant.

They were amazing, Ashba and Fortus especially. Bumblefoot was great too, though.

Axl definitely didn't lip-synch, and was in good spirits throughout. No tantrums or hissy fits. His voice held up great, although sometimes I think the sound was up too loud cos there was some distortion.

All in all- 4 stars out of 5.

One of the best times of my life to date.

Agree Gus! i flew over to Adelaide to see the show and it was bangin! Nobody i mean nobody puts on a show like Axl!!!!!
Loved it that they played a fair bit off Chinese Democracy as it is the most underrated album of all time.
Awesome gig and my highlight was Night Train, best song he does live as well as Better, This I Love and Rocket Queen.
Sick of the "but there is no Slash or Duff" Axl is the voice of GNR full stop and you can replace instrument players but you cant repace a voice.

Where abouts where you standing?

I was front row centre in the seats, just above the tech area. Brilliant view.

Loved Ashba jumping up into the crowd- fair effort for a shorter bloke to jump up there with guitar in hand. That wasn't a small wall. He was brilliant all night, too. Engages and entertains the crowd with the best of them.

Loved the performance of You Could Be Mine. That bass line is still vibrating in my chest.

Thanks for narrowing it down.:D

And why do you say that? Have you seen them live?

Saw them in 07, not impressed at all. Thought they were sloppy. Heard some bad things about the shows this year as well. I like their music, but this imitation band just doesn't cut it for me.
If someone can tell me that the Gunners are the best band/musicians that someone could possibly see this year, well then they clearly don't go to many shows.

That's fair enough, each to their own.

I personally thought they were amazing last night, not sloppy at all. I was with my uncle who went to Melbourne in 1993 and he too reckons this "imitation band" is just as good, if not better musically.

They definitely put on the best show I've seen this year. Wish I'd gone to Metallica so I could compare.

Agreed, I didn't mind hearing some of the classics in 07 at rod laver, but overall i thought it was just a bunch of **** rock....I even left the show early being so unimpressed with Axl's band.
