Yeah he looks alright, i wanna know how Richmond herd of the bloke seeing he is from king island and there are F**K all people there and only three footy teams.

I remember watching sunrise a while ago and there was this little thing they had of some of the younger Richmond players, some lady took the group through some sort of learning how to be gentleman school, leaning table manners and Sh*t like that. at the end.. some of the players were asking her questions, then Angus put his hand up to ask a question. No word of a lie! this is what he asked "what do you do if you want to ask a girl back to your house for Intercourse?" I nearly fainted! and the girl was like..OMG i cant believe you just asked me that.

This makes me feel a bit nervous about him

He went to School and boarded at Assumption College in Kilmore.... Im guessing he got a footy scholarship to leave and go to school there.

Bit out of left field - put perhaps TW thought that Browne's form had to be rewarded and that Gus needed to know that just because he was the next in line he wasn't going to be gifted games.

Works well as Browne gets a taste and learns from it and Gus works harder to get and keep his place.

i'd buy that - think that was exactly what happened. Saw both in action in Shepparton v Saints and Browne was outstanding, whilst Gus struggled. But glad to see Gus is taking his opportunity.

i reckon that bad mismanaged angle 2 years ago has ruined symmos jumping and mobility around the ground. lets face it, thats what he was good at. same thing as white when he lost his spring.

Hmmm, I thought the ruck contests were pretty neutral on the weekend - the Melbourne rucks got a bit more of it around the ground.

Apart from Graham's 'Magnificent trap and Weave through Traffic', he was pretty anonymous. He wasn't beaten in the ruck though.

Simmons was dreadful - but he's a smart player, and I hope he works out what is wrong, because at his best, he is very immportant to us.

I've never bagged him. I said we should keep him for sure. Vickery is 2 years off being able to play afl imo

no wonder patto cant ruck. put him at chf, riewoldt cant kick long, so he can be permanent fp.

Spot on about Simmo, once high jumping ruckmen loose their spring they become irrelevant fairly quickly. I think Simmonds only hope now is to re-invent himself as a wrestling forward who can at least bring the ball to ground.

Got to say I have been a defender of Gus, if not only for the fact of seeing Cox as a 22 year old look very ordinary, and become one of the best ruckmen to play the game. I am not for one minute saying Gus can match him, but I think the improvement we see in him in the next 2-3 years will surprise some people.
