Having been able to watch both players racking up points in my fantasy team, i would have to say that this has been one of teh best trades over the last few years, in terms of value to their new respective teams. Here are the figures...

Hamilton: (Detroit: 6-2)
pts- 170
rebs- 29
3ptm- 6
ast- 21
st- 6

Stackhouse: (Washington: 5-4)
pts- 218
rebs- 47
3ptm- 9
ast- 44
st- 10

Stack is doing much better then Rip atm, but really, that was to be expected.

However in the long run, the Pistons will win because when Stack is collecting a pension, Rip will still be dropping his 20-25 a night.

Detroit needed an athletic scorer, Washington needed someone to take over the mantle when Jordan is gone. Nice trade methinks.

A win-win trade which is somewhat rare. The Pistons have problems though with Rip being the only player averaging more than 11ppg....there D is great but if they cant score...well they cant stop everyone.

Stack and the Wiz are yet to really put it together. Once they do, they will win a lot of games.

Detroit have great defence, as u say Jod. They r a very deep team, or perhaps even team is the more appropriate term to use.
They can have up to about 10 guys contributing consistently each night. Not too many huge contributors, but everyone seems to be a decent role-plyer within the side.

As u say Jod, I doubt whether Detroit can really hold an in-form Dallas, Sacramento, Lakers (with O'Neill), etc, so will be solid again this season, without making an impact, come the playoffs!
