Handing down numbers?

Jut looking at the possibility of McManus and Parker retiring soon. They will more than likely pass their numbers down to the next kid. Who deserves the 8and the 23? Just like Kickett pass the 11 to Dessie.

I have no doubt Michael Johnson will be the next #23 for Fremantle. After all his number plate reads "MJ 23".
But the #8 i have no real idea, maybe a guy like Masten if we can get out hands on him.

I would like to see these numbers "retired" for one season, but then if Johno wants 23 I would not complain.

The number 8 can only go to a very special person, definitely not a "pretty boy athlete". The "selection committee" in the Subi outer will discuss this pressing matter at the next game.
