We may still be bottom of the ladder, but we lead the whole damn league when it comes to creative sarcasm & irony :D

I was being serious...

Just heard it this morning on Triple M so its gotta be true...Didn't hear the whole thing but the lead off headline was something like "Stunning revelations at Melbourne this morning as future MFC hall of famer John Meesen sacks coach Dean Bailey and the entire MFC board".

Todays crowd should be alright I think around 51,000. melbourne 11 members get in for free and hawthorn has bring a buddy day for there members and they have 50,000 members. hopefully there buddys are dees supporters

Positives:
1. More draft picks b4 gold coast take them all (i'm not pro tanking but this is going to happen even if we try to win)
2. We have somewhere decent to train (not as state of the art as others, but a big leap from junction oval)
3. Exciting young prospects
4. The AFL doesn't look like they are going to kill clubs anymore, looks like a better stadium deal could be arranged too, which means more money for the club.

Bookmarked.

My only query, why the Donald hate?

Point taken. I'll change it Donald-David Cockatoo-Collins.

Scant chance though. Almost tempted to lower the line to 40k.

yeah i was very wrong there but if you lowered it to 40k you would have been very lucky 39 something attended

So far we've played Kangaroos and Bulldogs (the two lowest drawing Melbourne teams) plus Adelaide for our home games.

20,000 is our line for breaking even. So, so far we've probably come out a bit ahead despite weak fixtures.

Relax, a lot of steps have been taken, it would require a genuinely crapola set of crowd figures for us to not at least break even this year.

According to Footywire, our current home crowd average over the first 9 rounds is just over 27,000 - if 20,000 is the break-even point, we've got nothing to worry about at all!

We're still 1-7.

Our crowds are bare (read: we are losing money)

We haven't beaten a proper team in yonks (read: takes more than Brian Taylor pumping our tyres to win back respect from other teams)

Watts has yet to prove anything other than that he can read the wind out in Casey Fields. Even Isaac Weetra cut it up in the VFL.

The Olympic Park Precinct is still just a field across the road.

Feel free to carry on...

(I'm not a fan of optimism, for new readers of my work)

and you know nothing about football, end of story

and to prove you know nothing, Brian Taylor hates us you moron

Actually BT has been singing our praises as of late.

What's with all slagging off you've been doing in your last five or six posts? No need for it, apart from the slagging of DemonDoob.
