How can we bag Watson when England have Stephen Harminson running around...
At least Watson can bowl on the pitch....

Harminson dragged after 1 over which conceded 4 wides and a no ball plus a 6 over backward point that would have probably beena wide anyway...

Agreed. Plus, I realise my mistake in saying what I did about the selectors. They arent current players, so it doesnt exactly count.
Wouldn't Hussein be a selector on tour?

Yes. But what I meant was, the board of selectors, ie Allan Border.. just an example of a past player turned selector. They were the ones who called him up into the squad.

Like with Martin Love - if he had been a dud, he'd get blamed for it as would the selectors. But he's not [he's a champ, in my view], so we're happy that they've made a good choice.

That didnt make sense, did it.

He drops more catches in a game than Michael Bevan & Michael Vaughan.

i think the crowd hangs onto more chances than those two.

anyone remember the bloke at the gabba test who took a catch one handed and had no spillage of beer in the other?? sensational stuff.

Yes,he didn't spill his beer while taking the catch, but then his mate slapped him on the back, sending half his beer flying. :p

Great game by Harmison tonight. He went for 27 runs off his two overs, but then he helped England win by getting injured.

Havent seen the highlights, but did a skied ball hit him in the head while he tried to catch it?

Or was it the bowling action where he resembles Courtney Walsh on crack?

I disagree. Its the selectors fault he's in the team anyway. :p

hmmmm ....

Jones - injured
White - injured
Gough - injured
Tudor - injured
Flintoff - injured
Giles - injured

........seem to remember a young bowler from Queensland bowling a bigger pile pies on his first ashes tour .....McDermott and he turned out all right......easier to watch the game without the blinkers on ....

Harmison is raw and is not yet suited to the one day game. I feel embarrased for him.

Its hard to know which is worse,Harmison's bowling or Blackwell's batting. :o

Or some peoples ability to watch cricket through blinkers....... Matt Hayden shouldering arms to Curtly Ambrose
Greg Blewett facing Mushtaq.....everybody starts somewhere remember becareful when you slag a guy thats 20 yr old who bowls at 140 k ... might come back to bite you in the arse in years to come ... " be nice to the little people on your way up .... cos you will sure as hell meet them, on the way down "...

Best left arm bowler to come throught the Academy in years was a guy called Jonathan Brown .. current centre half forward for Brisbane ... the football = $$$$ is already getting a foot hold here as well
