dam good race, good finish, smashed the rest but no cigar. sigh.

Marie Collie @ Albion Park

Will win this by a long, long, lonnnnnnng way. Trial form very good. Running time from wide draws and beating him much higher graded horses in those trials. Rated 1.57, home in 57.5, 28.5 when a close second in the most recent trial. Beat home an M4 rated horse! Finally its NZ form was very strong, running close up in sub 2.0

1.10 shot if ever i saw one.

wrong there. Just plain wrong. I expected a massacre. I know Strike Powers a bit of a plugger so poor run really. Just scraped in for third and the fact Lancer Loch was in the finish tells me that was more of a poor run.

I will add to this tho, a real driver wouldnt of breezed altho still doesn't account for that run.

Enthrall @ Menangle

Suprised Vertigal didn't smash it last start having its back. I wanted to lay this 2 runs ago but last 2 efforts are quite good. Given no hope 2 runs ago with the drive and still grabbed third.

had its chance, 4th.

The in form claimer here is Greenmans Valley. Most of these are battling. Stables firing but i have a real dislike for the driver. He's the one to beat. It's pretty obvious but i'm going the Shane way. Even tho Pocket of Grace has the lead unless the stable does a shifty and lets Armbro Vale over (real possability as they do this frequently and the stewards never do a thing) i think Shane would be crazy not to go up and apply the blow torch and take that lead if possible. Horses recent form is bad but he wasn't driving and now he is :)

4th again, driven correctly. Bit pissed Dixons wouldn't hand up. Whitaker shows why hes a fail driver. He should of been of leading the 3 wide line, wins the race as Northern Gem doesn't get out. Winner didn't make any sense other then it was in the right spot at the right time when the leaders caved in.

Tatijana Bromac @ Menangle

If i was to resume betting. I'd have a grand on this. Can't feel bad if that lost. Running on strongly against the one of the best around in Our Torias Secret does it for me.

like the last run of Mctavish but don't like the fact it got crossed by Cocky Vale Van last start. Be pissed if that wins as it shouldn't lead and that should be that.

innept second.... 26.5 first split, entitled to win.

Advanced Crossing @ Albion Park

Looking at 4 runners. 3,4,6,11. 3 gets over first then hands up to 4 or 6, probably the 4 is how i have it.

Cold Ideal ran home strongly last start with Judd. Good run. Right Angles fell in against Legacy Lane then was going to almost beat Overcam before it broke. Iffy form but the drivers a champ. Going for Darrel, this is a drop in class and he'll attack at some point.

dissapointing again and unplaced. Maybe i should be like everyone else and just go for every leader, sigh.... no that was a sad joke. Right Angles won.

Lightning Mcool @ Menangle

Stronger formlines i believe and its Luke.

Yell FireintheHole @ Albion Park

Should just charge right around them and get the ellusive pegs, sigh.

Harness racing is so frustrating. I wonder how many horses have won today that actually have the best gate speed. Feels like every race.

1st and 1st

Albion Park - 6 races played - 3 winners, 1 third, STAB - 3.60 18.50 2.90
Menangle - 4 races played - 1 winner, 2 seconds STAB - 2.80

10 units outlay - 27.7 unit return

Good day when i look at it like that but i wrapped up 2 horses today and both failed so i feel like it's a fail day. I feel like i should of went Right Angles as well knowing it's a leader and i was looking at it.

Every winner had the speed to lead regardless if they did or not with the exception of Lightning Mcool who won due to two fail leaders. Of the selections that failed today...

Enthral - no chance of leading
Everydays a Sunday - no chance of leading with the stablemate, next best
Tatijana Bromac - no chance of leading with Courageous Falcon in the race, next best
Mary Collie - tried, failed and lost to the one who kept it out
Lombo Lumberjack - should of led but i saw it coming with Dixon holding him out which he shouldn't have as his horse wasn't going well enough.
Advanced Crossing - no chance from the draw

So thats harness racing?

Every single winner today at Albion Park had the speed to lead with the exception of Northern Gem who got lucky.

7 out of 9 winners had the speed to lead at Menangle. The other 2 winners can both lead however and in both those races the leader collapsed (lightning mcool, cosimo bromac)

Don't expect to go anywhere near as well tonight but still share my thoughts and see how it runs. No idea who has the gate speed down here thats for sure so have to use guess work.

Ballarat

El Paco - Like the close up run with Red Caviar (i know its won since)and its shown enough speed off the pole to keep the leaders back twice. I'm expecting this to break or breeze as thats how i roll in Vic trot races :)

That was always going to happen, unplaced. Need a replay of that race.

Gloucester

Gabrielletorrevean @ Gloucester - Was right up at only run and showed good speed off the arm matching the leader. So many first starters here and most of them have won a trial.

unplaced.... least they are up there where you got to be!

Paintball - form i know! Got the back of Oh Eye See where that runner collapsed on top of him.Ouch. Shake it Mama won that race but it was unlucky. Drawing a line through Oh Eye See... this must go close.

what the hell, paintball ran over arch duchess? Shake it Mama that good? as that form is outstanding

guess so! 2nd but they didnt try to lead and dammit another leader wins

Bollinger Baby @ Gloucester - I like the Lord Chelsea run in quick time
Well Corza Commation isn't leading so i say its a lay :)

1st and the fave perfect run and smashed.... finally!

Patty Jasper @ Ballarat - Fave wins so playing for second. Loose Wire only form i know outside the fave and all runs have been decent.

4th Sir Hutchy @ Ballarat - running for the place again, he breezed with National Gallery and should get a suck run through

last!

Jet Dee - Stuck on last start behind two good ones beaten 6m from the running line. Think i'm dead tho if they let Woodley over.

4th - dissapointed with that, might start looking at there last win and base it off that.

Keyang Genius @ Ballrat - just after the start

nope, not a winner out of that lot!

For as long as i can be bothered, i'll do brain pick, then system pick and then another variant of system pick so 3 picks in all.

Redcliffe

Brain - Mirfak Prince - Doesn't make any sense why he won't bully to the lead off that front row. Little tired or rubbish drives and Cowans pretty average as a driver but anyway... Other speedy types would possibly be Glees Jasper, General George and Alert Baron under their previous trainers but now now. Bye Bye Oscar isn't the worst and has speed, but the draw hurts and needs the pegs and Shady Falcon the obvious danger doesn't do well when has to work for it and he almost certainly will have too if assuming Mirfak Prince pushes forward at the minimum.

S1 - Mirfak Prince
S2 - Mirfak Prince (was going to go thru each run and then determine the best on pacer but to much effort so ill use another way)

1st

Brain - Street Safe - Been contesting the lead in C4-C5 and M1 races so no brainer this is significantly easier. Back row draw but i ask myself this. If the Shane was driving could he spin this field and potentially lead? Answer is a big yes. This drivers no Shane but he has shown balls before spinning Jaccka Limon around from the back row when noone saw it coming. Other speedy types are Miss Namba drawn the pole. Been sticking on against decent fields so has to be a big show drawn the pole. Village Fighter is the other speedy type and will be a longshot win if he does salute.

S1 - Village Fighter
S2 - Liutenant Jujon
